Rightly said, "A sound mind Lies in a sound body" Our institution has not only been excelling in Academics but also in arena of Sports. It has acquired highest standard of being the Alma matter of scores of sportspersons at Distt, University, and Intervarsity, State level. Our sports students are the true valiant for whom every hurdle vanishes with their persistent efforts.    

• •     Department of Physical Education brought Laurel to the name of institution under the able patronage of Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, Secretary, Managing Committee and directions of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta as the students of the said Department participated in an Inter-College Fencing Competition at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar from 04/01/2024 and 07/01/2024. Owing to their distinguished achievements, the team consisting of Kajal, Samiksha, Kamini and Naina got 3rd position in the event Foil. Principal mam felt euphoric on this achievement. She acclaimed the endeavour of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Physical Education Department and the students.

   

  •    The students of Department of Physical Education under the able patronage of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and the headship of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Department of Physical Education, participated in an Inter-College Rowing Championship held at Dhar Kalan, Pathankot on 3rd December, 2023. In this competition, many colleges participated. It is a matter of utmost ecstasy that our proud institution performed brilliantly and bagged the Champion Trophy.

   

  •      The students of luminous Department of Physical Education of under the able patronage of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and the headship of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Department of Physical Education, participated in a competition of Pre-National Shooting Championship from 21st to 28th October, 2023 held at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, New Delhi. It is a matter of utmost ecstasy that Ritika of our proud institution participated and got the honour of Rifle Pre-National Qualified owing to her brilliant performance. Heartiest congratulations to the Management of the college, Madam Principal, faculty and students.

   

  •      Another milestone has been achieved by the students of the Physical Education Department in accomplishing State level Fencing Competition under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and the headship of Ms. Taljinder Kaur held at Fatehgarh Sahib from 17th to 22nd October, 2023. In this competition, various institutions of 16 districts participated.Our students bagged 4 Bronze medals.

   

  •      Department of Physical Education has set another spectacular benchmark under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and Head of the Department, Ms. Taljinder kaur. The students of the said department participated in state level water sports Rowing competition which was held on 21st October, 2023 in Roper. Many colleges participated in the competition. Our students won 9 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in this competition. Over all second position bagged by our students . Madam Principal congratulated both the student and the head for the brilliant efforts and accomplishment.

   

  •     Under the banner Khedan Vatan Punjab Diyan 2023, the Physical Education Department participated and bagged many positions in State level Rowing Competition under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and the headship of Ms. Taljinder Kaur held at Roper from 19th to 21st October, 2023. In this competition, various institutions of 8 districts participated.

  •      Department of Physical Education brought laurels to the name of institution under the able directions of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and under the headship of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, as the students of the said department participated and outshined in State Level Shooting (Rifle) Competition under the banner Khedan Vatan Punjab Diyan 2023 at Muktsar Sahib from 10th to 15th October, 2023. In this competition, 11 Districts of Punjab participated in which multiple institutions played against each other. It is a matter of victory that student Komal of our institution got 2nd position. 

   

  •      Department of Physical Education of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar has set another spectacular benchmark under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and Head of the Department, Ms. Taljinder kaur. The students of the said department participated in an Inter College karate Competition which was held on 12th October, 2023 in GNDU, Amritsar. Many colleges participated in the competition. Ms. Baljeet of our college has been able to grab Individual third medal in the 45 kg body weight category. Madam Principal congratulated both the student and the head for the brilliant efforts and accomplishment.

   

  •      In a momentous achievement for the Department of Physical Education, the institution has reached a significant milestone. Under the dedicated leadership of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and Department Head, Prof. Taljinder Kaur, the college's name has been etched in golden letters. In the district level fencing competition, held at Government Senior Secondary Kanya School, Gurdaspur, Punjab from 6th October to 7th October 2023, the students of said department brought laurels to college by winning no. of positions in different levels.The winners have been selected to represent their respective district at the state level competition, showcasing the talent and dedication of Punjab's young fencers. Madam principal congratulated the winners and wished them the best of luck as they aim for greater accomplishments in the field of fencing.

   

  •       Students of Physical education department participated in District level fencing trail competition held at Govt Senior secondary kanya school, Gurdaspur on 6-10-2023 and 7-10-2023.All the students have been selected in state level competition.

   

  •       Department of Physical Education brought fame to the name of institution under the able directions of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta as the students of the said department participated and marvelled in District Level Shooting Competition at B.A.S. Riarki Public School, Tughalwala, Gurdaspur on 04/10/2023.

   

  •       A District Level Badminton Competition organised by VFC Gurdaspur for Age Group Under 40 was held at Gurdaspur* on 29th and 30th September, 2023. In this event two teachers of SDAM College, Dinanagar participated. Ms. Sonia Thakur, Head, Department of Sociology bagged 1st position and Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Department of Physical Education bagged 3rd position.

   

  •     The students of Physical Education Department participated in District Level Athletics Competition held at Government College, Gurdaspur on 29th September, 2023 under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and under the headship of Ms. Taljinder kaur, Department of Physical Education. The students grabbed one gold and three bronze medals. Principal Madam appreciated the efforts of students and the teacher

   

  •       Neha Devi of Physical Education Department getting 10 Lakhs for outperforming in Canoeing Event. "Hard work is the foundation of all achievements, and success is the blossoming of that foundation."In a significant milestone for the Department of Physical Education at the college's name has been engraved in golden letters under the skilled guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar.

   

  •       Physical Education Department brought fame to the name of the institute under the able guidance of principal Dr. Reena Talwar and under the headship of Ms. Taljinder kaur, Department of Physical Education, as the students of the said department bagged 8 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals in Block level Athletics Competition at Government kanya Sen. Sec. School Dinanagar on 8th September, 2023.

   

  •      Department of Physical Education brought Laurel to the name of institution under the able directions of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar as the Students of the said Department participated in an Open District Level Fencing Competition at Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Gurdaspur on 26/8/2013 and 27/8/2023. Owing to their distinguished achievements, students Kajal and Kamini got 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Principal mam felt euphoric on this achievement. She acclaimed the endeavour of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Physical Educational Department and the students.

   

  •      Physical Education Department brought fame to the name of the institution under the able guidance of principal Dr. Reena Talwar as the students of the said department participated in the 42nd north Zone Shooting Championship 2023 which was organised by National Rifle Association of India in Delhi from 16th to 24th August, 2023. Due to their spectacular performance,* Komal and Muskan* got selected for National level competition in Shooting. Principal Mam felt elated on this achievement. She applauded the efforts of both Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Physical Education Department and the students.

   

  •       Brilliant students of Physical Education Department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar participated in District Shooting Championship 2023 on 12th and 13th June, 2023 at Harchowal, Gurdaspur . In the events held by District Rifle Association Gurdaspur (2023), many teams participated. It’s a matter of ecstasy that the students of our college won Overall Champion Trophy from whole district. The shooters of District Gurdaspur stood first; Amritsar stood second; Pathankot stood at 3rd position. Principal Madam appreciated the efforts of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Department of Physical Education and motivated the students to strive more success.
    
    
  •      Spectacular students of Physical Education Department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar participated in Shooting Championship 2023 on 5th June, 2023 at Mukerian. In the pre district level events of Coc Final Pistol and Coc Final Rifle Competitions, ten teams participated. The students of our institution outperformed the other teams. In the Rifle Competition, komal and Navneet bagged Gold Medals, Ritika Saini got Silver Medal and Muskan Manhas got Bronze Medal. In Pistol Competition, Ritu bagged Gold Medal, Rajni got Silver Medal and Yamini got Bronze Medal. It’s a matter of ecstasy that our college won Overall Champion Trophy. Principal Madam appreciated the efforts of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Department of Physical Education and motivated the students to strive more success.
  •      Physical Education Department brought fame to the name of the institute Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar, under the able guidance of principal Dr. Reena Talwar and under the headship of Ms. Taljinder kaur, Department of Physical Education as a student named Kajal, a brilliant student won medals in Fencing Game Senior Youth (U-23), Punjab State Level Competition (2022-23). She got 4 medals in this competition held at Malwa College of Nursing, Mehal Kalan, Barnala. She has grabbed spectacular silver medal in the Event foil Individual (U- 23)and 3 bronze medals in the Event Foil Team (U-23). Principal Mam felt elated on this achievement. She laid emphasis on the need to imbibe qualities of discipline, sportsmanship spirit in every student. She appreciated the efforts of the mentor and her parents.

   

  •      Department of Physical Education of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar, under IQAC organized one day trip to Nakodar and Devi Talab Temple, Jalandhar on 6th April, 2023 under the able guidance of principal Dr. Reena Talwar. Around 50 students went on the trip with Ms. Taljinder kaur, Head, Department of Physical Education along with Ms. Kulwinder kaur, Department of Punjabi. As the students are concluding the even semester and heading for final university examinations, they sought blessings and solace. They roamed the local markets and bought many things. This trip was memorable enough for the students. They rejoiced and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

   

  •      Department of Physical Education, under the able patronage of esteemed Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, organised 'Annual Sports Meet' on 11th March 2023. The programme commenced with the floral welcome of Chief Guest Dr. Amandeep Singh (Associate Prof. & Head, Department of Physical Education, & Incharge, Youth Welfare Department, GNDU) and Guest of Honour, Prof. Paramveer Singh Malli (Deptt. of Chemistry, GNDU). Swami Sadanand Saraswati, Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, Mr. Anil Gupta, Mrs. Namita Gupta, Mrs. Anju Gupta, Mrs. Neelam, Mr. Dinesh Shastri, Mr. kunwar Vikki were bestowed with the benevolent greetings. The event inaugurated by hoisting the flag and by releasing colorful balloons by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, the eminent members of the committee and Principal Madam. The event commenced with the sacred tradition of chanting Ved Mantras. Madam Principal, in her welcome address, stated that games are the indispensable parts which uplift our lives.

   

  •     An Inter-College Shooting Championship’s PAP was organised in Jalandhar by Guru Nanak Dev University. In this competition, a total of seven teams participated. Under the valuable guidance of Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar, the brilliant students of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar bagged the third position. The first position was bagged by Khalsa College, Amritsar and the second by H.M.V. College, Jalandhar. The team of B.B.K.D.A.V. College, Amritsar stood at fourth position and Guru Nanak Dev University stood at the fifth position. Layallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar bagged the sixth position and K.C.M. College bagged the seventh position. On reaching the college, Principal Madam congratulated the students and the Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Department of Physical Education. She even motivated the students to bring such achievement for the institution and for their well-being. Their victory was celebrated with pomp and show.

   

  •      The *Physical Education Department* participated in *Water Game Dragon Boat Team* in an Inter-College Competition held at Sultanpur Lodhi, Kapurthala on 18/02/23 organised by GNDU, Amritsar. It’s a matter of felicitations as under the able patronage of Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar and under the headship of Ms. Taljinder kaur, Department of Physical Education, the team of our college won third position. The other teams, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar and BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar stood at first and second positions respectively. Principal Madam congratulated the students and motivated them to achieve greater success.
  •      The Sports Department of the esteemed institution Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar again outshined with its victory under the able guidance of Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar in an 'Inter- College Fencing competition', held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar from 14/12/2022 to 16/12/2022. In this competition, various teams participated in number of events namely, Epee, Foil and Sabre. The students of our college performed wonderfully and bagged third position. The team of B.B.K. College Amritsar stood first, Khalsa College, Amritsar stood 2nd and SDAM College along with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar stood third. The students, Kajal, Samiksha, Naina and Kamini grabbed 2-2 medals each; Badna, Kajal, Pooja and Manju got 1-1 medal each.  Principal Madam applauded the efforts of both Ms.Taljinder Kaur, Head, physical Education Department and the students. Madam principal also encouraged the students for their utmost efforts and wished them luck for their upcoming projects

   

  •     Ms. Komal of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College earned a Gold Medal in State Level Shooting Competition*. The Sports Department of the esteemed institution Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar has added one more gem to the fame under the able guidance of Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar. A state level shooting competition was held under the banner of 'PUNJAB KHED MELA 2022' in PAP, Jalandhar from 18th to 28th October, 2022. In the competition, our student Komal grabbed the first position and got 'Gold medal' against other teams from various districts of Punjab. Principal Madam applauded the efforts of both Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Physical Education Department and the students. She also encouraged the efforts of the student and wished her luck for her upcoming projects.
  •      The Sports Department of the esteemed institution Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar has added another gem to the fame under the able patronage of Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar. Varied State Level competitions were held at Patiala and Ropar under the banner ‘PUNJAB KHED MELA-2022’. In the competition held at Patiala, the *Fencing Team* participated against *10 states* and grabbed *2 Silver and 4 Bronze Medals*. In which, Kajal got both Silver and Bronze Medals; Rajni got Silver Medal; Kajal, Kamini, Naina, Tanvi and Samiksha got Bronze Medals. In the competition held at Ropar, the *Rowing Team* participated against *11 States* and grabbed *4 Bronze and 3 Silver Medals*. In which, Diksha got Silver Medal; Aarti and Shabnum both got Silver and Bronze Medals; Tania and Savita got Bronze Medals. Principal Madam commended the efforts of both Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Sports Department and the students. They got honoured with loads of felicitations.

   

  •      District Athletics Competition has been organised under the label ‘PUNJAB KHED MELA-2022’ in the month of September in which various athletes took active participation in number of sports events. Students of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila college, Dinanagar have not only participated in these events but also secured mind blowing positions and has flourished the name of their college. In the hockey competitions held at Govt. college, Gurdaspur, Miss Tania got 2nd position in Hockey U-19 and 1st position in Hockey U-21. In badminton competition held at Gymnasium Hall, Gurdaspur, Ms. Aarti got 3rd position. In athletics competition, held at Govt. college, Gurdaspur, Ms. Manju got 3rd position in 5000 mt race. Ms. Samiksha got 3rd position in 100 mt. race. The same student got 3rd position in 100 mt. race held at SN college, Qadian. Principal Mam applauded the efforts of the students as well as their teacher, Ms. Taljinder Kaur, head, Department of Physical Education.
  •       District Athletics Competition was held in SN College, Qadian on 18th September,2022 in which various athletes took active participation in number of sports events. In this competition Samiksha, a student of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila college, Dinanagar got 3rd position in 100 mt race. Principal Mam applauded the efforts of the student as well as her teacher Ms. Taljinder Kaur, head, Department of Physical Education.
  •      Flamboyance, an eternal tag of Phy. Education Department "Sports is the greatest physical poetry."Launched by government of punjab, 'Punjab khed Mela', was organised in Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Dinanagar at block level from 1st to 3rd September. In the fair, Athletics tournament was performed in which the students of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College won a plethora of medals under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar and under the instructions of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Department of Physical Education. In 100 mt race, Samiksha got first prize and Diksha won 3rd prize in 200 mt race. Amandeep got 3rd prize in 400 mt race whereas Sakshi got 2nd prize in 1500 mt race. Manju got 1st prize in 3000 mt race and Arti won 3rd prize in Shot put. Overall, the students of this esteemed institution received 6 medals and brighten the name of the college. The Principal Ma’am congratulated the students and appreciated the hard work of their teacher. The college celebrated this achievement with great pomp and show.

   

  •     "Life is incomplete without sports and it's the time to refresh our life so play as much as you can." Under IQAC Physical Education Department celebrated ‘National Sports Day’ on 29 Aug 2022 under the eminent guidence of prestigious Principal madam Dr. Reena Talwar. The department arranged a cross country race under the guidance of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, head, Department of Physical Education, in which students participated with a great zeal. The event was remarkable and inspiring to arise the spirit of sportsmanship among students.Under an initiative to promote sports in the state, the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Punjab is organising "Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2022" from September 1st to October 21st. Emphasising on the need of playing sports and recognising sports talent as stated by Punjab CM Mr. Bhagwant Mann, Madam principal took an initiative to develop the enthusiasm of sports in students. She deliberated that the athletes of this reverend institution will marvel the sports competition and will justify the aim of ‘Khedan-2022’.At the juncture, The students displayed a show of fervour and determination. They endured heat, dust, pain and sweat to add charm to name of college.

   

  •      Overall Champion Trophy bagged by the Champions of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar "A dream does not become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work." Euphoric heyday for the unflinching legacy of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar as the diligent students of Physical Education Department of this esteemed institution, has won the overall Championship Trophy in ‘Rifle and Pistol Shooting Competition’ held at Harchowal, Gurdaspur. The competition was held at district level in which total of nine institutes from several domains such as Gurdaspur, Amritsar and Pathankot took active participation. Under the valuable guidance of esteemed Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar and the unwavering endeavours of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, head, Department of Physical Education, the students displayed a show of valour and resolution. In this competition, the students Muskan, Navneet and Ritika acquired a gold medal as a team while komal and Muskan earned gold medals

   

  •     "Games give you a chance to excel, and if you're playing in good company you don't even mind if you lose because you had the enjoyment of the company during the course of the game." Sports Students of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar under the able patronage of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar and guidance of Ms. Taljinder kaur from department of physical education participated in *Pre District Shooting Competition* held at *Warriors Shooting Academy*, Bhangala from 11 june 2022 to 12 June 2022 in which gold, silver and bronze were won by Navneet kaur, Muskan and Ritika respectively in 10 meter air rifle junior women; Komal won gold medal in 10 meter Air Rifle Senior Women and Rajni got bronze in 10 meter Air Pistol. Madam principal appreciated the students and congratulated them for their success.
  •     Department of Physical Education under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar organised one day *trip to Sun City, Amritsar on 21-05-2022.* Around 37 students along with teachers Ms. Taljinder kaur, Department Of physical education and Ms Manjot, Department of music went to Sun city in college bus where  they thrilled and enjoyed at water park. On the way back to home, they stopped in Gurudwara Baba Budda Sahib, Kathu Nangal, to seek blissing for their upcoming exams and had langar there. The trip added unforgettable memories in the lives of the students.

  ·          Annual Sports Meet' was organized on 24th March 2022. The programme commenced with the flower welcome of chief guest Dr. Sukhdev singh (Head, department of physical education, GNDU) and Guest of honour Dr. Amandeep Singh (Prof. Department of physical Education, GNDU). Students participated in various events like 800m race, 400m race,200m race,skipping race, sack race,duck race, triple leg raceetc. Aarti student of MA Punjabi was selected as best Athlete.
  
  

  ·         Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar bagged overall second position in Water Game Rowing Team Competition held at Dhar Kalan, Pathankot on 22nd Feb,2022 and 23rd Feb,2022 which was hosted by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. In the competition the teams-B.B.K DAV, Amritsar, SDAM, Dinanagar, HMV, Jalandhar and GNDU, Amritsar participated, in which Overall first position was bagged by B.B.K D.A.V. College for Women, Amritsar. Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar got Overall second position. Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,Jalandhar got overall third position. The students Aarti, Priyanka,Tanya and Diksha got first positions in the first event and Meenakshi got third position in Single Event. Aarti and Priyanka got third positions in Pair Events. It is a moment of proud joy that our student Aarti Devi got selected in all India Competition. Esteemed Principal Dr. Reena Talwar commended the efforts of Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Department of Physical Education and motivated the students to achieve laurels.

  ·         Physical Education Department bagged overall third position in Two-days Inter-College Tournament held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar on 2-3 Jan.2022. The college got 3rd positions in three events of Epee, Foil and Sabre. The Foil team consisted of Rajni Sharma, Rohini, Muskan Devi and Sakshi. The Epee team consisted of Kajal, Jasmeet, Akanksha and Preeti Sani. The Sabre Team consisted of Akanksha Preeti Sani, Rajni Sharma and Neha.

  •      Heartfelt congratulations to the students of Physical Education Department on bagging overall second position in Team Shooting Inter-College Competition held at Spring Dale School, Amritsar on 12-12-2021 and 14-12-2021 which was hosted by Guru Nank Dev University, Amritsar.The team of students consisting Preeti Saini of M.A. Pol. Sci. 1st semester, Komal, Navpreet Kaur and Muskan Mahajan of B.A. 1st semester got second position in Air Rifle Shooting under the able guidance of Principal Dr.Reena Talwar.The first and third positions were bagged by Layallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar and BBK DAV College, Amritsar respectively. Dr. Reena Talwar congratulated Ms. Taljinder Kaur, Head, Department of Phy. Edu. and the students for their tremendous efforts and efficient teamwork.

  ·         Preeti Saini participated in Punjab State Shooting Championship held at Mohali from 2-4  October, 2021. She participated in 177, air rifle, Senior state girls and 50 metre senior state,girls.She got third position in these both events.
