NCC is a national organization, which has helped in inculcation in the cadets a spirits of courage, confidence, self-reliance, selfless service, a feeling of patriotism, faith in oneself, power of thought and adjustment, which are essential to make the youth disciplined and dutiful. Our college is running 52 cadets Platoon for the development of the student community. With its motto of "Unity and Discipline", the NCC has become instrumental in moulding the character and imparting in our students a dynamic outlook.

  • NCC department organised an Extension Lecture on the subject of Recruitment of women in the Border Security Force under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and Secretary of the College Managing Committee, Shri Dharam Indu Gupta on 26th February, 2024. Nutan Sanga, BSF Assistant Commander, 24 Battalion, delivered the lecture as an eminent Resource Person and Ms. Rajwinder Kaur, BSF attended the event as Special Guest. Madam Principal welcomed the guests by giving them potted plant under Green Initiative. Ms. Nutan with her magnificent aura motivated the students to join BSF.

 

  •     Republic Day was celebrated by the NCC department under the leadership of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta along with the staff members and students hoisted the flag. The whole sky echoed with the slogans of Jai Hind and Vande Mataram. The atmosphere filled with patriotism became very charming. Students sang patriotic songs. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta while congratulating everyone said that Republic means the supreme power of the people living in the country and only the people have the right to elect their representatives as political leaders to take the country in the right direction. It is because of the powers of the Indian Constitution that we can choose the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and other leaders of our choice in the country. Dr. Anjana Malhotra said that Republic Day reminds us that we are together and members of the same Indian family.

 

  • A workshop on Millets was organized to celebrate International Millets Day by NCC department under the able direction of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta on 18th December, 2023. Mr. Anil Gupta of the Managing Committee was the special guest. Ms. Sangeeta Malhotra, Head, Department of Home Science, trained the NCC cadets to prepare different types of delicious dishes using Ragi, Bajra, Kangni, Kodo, Cheena, Sawa and Kutki.

 

  • NCC Day was celebrated by the NCC department under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and under the direction of Colonel Mr. Amandeep Singh Aulakh, Commanding Officer of 1st Punjab Girls Battalion. On this occasion, ANO of NCC, Lt. Dr. Anjna Malhotra said that NCC in India is the largest youth organization in the world, with more than 1.2 million cadets. NCC was formed on 15th July, 1948.

 

  • NCC Department under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta celebrated World Girl Child Day on 11th October, 2023. Dr. Anjana Malhotra, Head, NCC Department organised the event where students of NCC Department wrote slogans and made posters to mark the importance of this day. They also recited poems. This day is dedicated to raise awareness about the unique challenges and opportunities that girls face, promoting gender equality, and empowering girls to reach their full potential. Principal madam appreciated the efforts of NCC Cadets and Dr. Anjana Malhotra for raising awareness.

 

  • NSS volunteers and NCC cadets under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and supervision of NSS coordinator Prof. Sangeeta Malhotra and NCC ANO Dr. Anjana Malhotra did Shramdaan in college campus and nearby areas on 1st October, 2023.The word Shramdaan means labour (Shram) and donation (Daan). Shramdaan means a voluntary contribution by the person towards community welfare involving physical effort. It is a way of helping our community and contributing to help and change the environment around us for better. The students cleaned the areas and created cleanliness awareness on garbage disposal and to avoid the use of plastics.

 

  • The oath was taken under ' Swachhta Hi Seva' Scheme by the NSS and NCC departments in collaboration with the Municipality Cooperation, Dinanagar under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta on 29th September 2023. The members of the municipality cooperation, the NSS Program Officers, NSS volunteers and cadets took the oath. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta said that under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) Scheme, Swachhta Hi Seva campaign is being organized in rural areas from 15th September to 2nd  October 2023 in which Various activities are being organised under the theme of Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan 2023, Garbage Free India. under this banner, the rally was taken out by the college to make the citizens aware about cleanliness. The departments plan to organise such programs to make people aware about cleanliness.

 

  • The DG NCC Commendation Card is awarded for outstanding acts or deeds in the field of adventure sports, training or for outstanding contribution in social or cultural activities. Lt. Dr. Anjna Malhotra awarded with NCC Commendation Card on 18th September 2023 for her unprecedented contribution in the field of NCC.DG NCC Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, AVSM, VSM  appreciated her and awarded her in the function organised at Guru Granth Sahib Bhavan, GNDU Amritsar. Commanding officer Col. Amandeep Singh Aulakh of 1Pb. Girls bn NCC  said that receiving this award is the result of a life long  efforts. And achieving this is every ANO’s dream.  Principal Dr. Reena Talwar congratulated Dr. Anjna Malhotra and said that this is a matter of pride for the entire college. She congratulate NCC department and NCC cadets for this success.

 

  • Under the aegis of the esteemed Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, the NCC Department organised an Exhibition and Speech competition on 13 September, 2023.Exhibition Winners 1st- Tanisha & Kamaljeet, 2nd- Simran Kaur, 3rd- Saloni.To commemorate the event the members of YOUTH FOR SEWA (NGO) graced the event with their valuable presence. Mr. Varun Mahajan, Mr. Neeraj Katal, Mr. Robin Mahajan, Mr. Vikram were the eminent guests. Principal Madam Dr. Reena Talwar welcomed the guests and presented her valuable words to motivate the NCC cadets to protect the environment from man made disasters. She motivated students to build a clean environment. Dr. Anjana Malhotra, head, NCC Department introduced everyone with the importance of Puneet Sagar Abhiyan. Madam Pooja introduced the Man Made Causes responsible for the destruction of the environment. The worthy guests motivated the NCC cadets to be aware about the environment problems, causes and solutions. They inspired the NCC cadets to be active to make the environment clean and green. The guest awarded the scholarships to five brilliant students. The member of NGO honoured madam principal for sustaining Environment Protection Campaign under Puneet Sagar Campaign. Principal madam congratulated the winners and applauded the efforts of Prof. Dr. Anjana Malhotra NCC incharge & Ms. Pooja (Asst. Professor in English). The event was successful and memorable.

 

  • NSS and NCC departments celebrated 77th Indian Independence Day with great vigour and joy under the able guidance of the principal Dr. Reena Talwar. The whole celebration was part of the initiative "MERI MAATI MERA DESH CAMPAIGN" envisaged from 09-08-2023 to 15-08-2023 under the agies of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India to commemorate 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Respected principal mam, the whole venerated faculty and students were present to salute the unsung heroes of freedom struggle and paying tribute to the 'Veers' who protected our nation. While gracing the programme, the principal, Dr. Reena Talwar hoisted the national flag which was followed by the national anthem. Worthy of it's efforts, a systematic March past was conducted by the NCC cadets which signifies methodology and preseverance. The whole event was mesmerizing and it inculcated the sense of patriotism and nationalism among the students. Principal Madam appreciated the efforts of both the departments.

 

  • NCC Department celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas under the able patronage of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar and under the headship of ANO lieutenant Dr. Anjana Malhotra.Colonel Amandeep Singh Aulakh, Commanding Officer, I-Punjab Girls Battalion, Amritsar (Sena Medal) presided over as Chief Guest and Subedar Major, Mr. Satpal Singh as Eminent Guest. The program commenced with recitation of Ved Mantras and lighting the lamp. The students of NCC choreographed patriotic songs. Dr. Anjana Malhotra in her address threw light on the magnanimous history of Kargil Vijay Diwas and laid bare the facts of sacrifices of numerous soldiers. Dr. Reena Talwar in her welcome address spoke about the relevance of the day and enumerated some victories of Indian army. Mr. Amandeep Singh emphasised on the need of being good cadets and to dream big. He paid his homages to the freedom fighters of the said battle.  At the end, Principal Mam with the distinguished members of College Managing Committee, Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta and Ms. Namita Gupta presented souvenirs to the guests.

 

  • National Doctor's Day was celebrated by the NCC Department, under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar on 1st July 2023. On this occasion, NCC cadets felicitated doctors in their villages and cities.Principal Dr. Reena Talwar said that doctors are another form of God. He also informed that Doctor's Day is dedicated to Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy and is celebrated on his birthday. A. N. O Dr. Anjana Malhotra appreciated this commendable effort of the cadets and said that the purpose of celebrating Doctor's Day is to bring health awareness among people and to show respect to doctors.

 

  • NCC cadets celebrated International Yoga Day under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar. On this occasion NCC's A. N. O.,NCC cadets and group teachers performed yoga under the direction of Lt. Dr. Anjana Malhotra.Principal Dr. Reena Talwar said on the occasion that Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that connects body, mind and soul through controlled breathing, physical postures and meditation.Its practice has many health benefits. By practicing yoga regularly, you can enjoy a healthy life. Dr. Anjana Malhotra said on the occasion that Yoga has gained immense popularity in the western world over the years. We can also call yoga as the most beneficial medicine for every disease occurring in this 21st century run-of-the-mill life.Regular practice of yoga can help in preventing non-communicable diseases like blood pressure, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, thereby reducing the need for curative drugs. Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mrs. Sunita Verma, Mrs. Randeep Doot, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Dr. Deepak Jyoti, Dr. Neenu Sharma, Mrs. Praveen Saini played an important role in making this event successful.
  • PG department of Political Science along with NCC department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar observed the Martyrs' day to commemorate the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This day is also observed as a day to remember all the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the country's freedom and independence. On this occasion, students made the posters of Mahatma Gandhi to pay him tribute. A documentary on Mahatma Gandhi and nation building was shown to the students. Vice Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mrs. Randeep Dhoot HOD Political Science dept., Dr. Anjna Malhotra NCC incharge, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur HOD Punjabi dept., Dr. Deepak Jyoti HOD Computer Science dept., Ms. Neha Saini and Ms. Kirti participated in the tribute paying ceremony.

 

  • "Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar celebrated "World leprosy day"* on 31st January,2023. NCC, NSS, Red cross and Red Ribbon club of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila college Dinanagar celebrated "World leprosy day" under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar under Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat mission. The main purpose of celebrating this day was to raise awareness among the people about the treatment of this disease caused by Leprosy Mycobacterium leprae. Principal Dr. Reena Talwar told that if people come forward at the primary stage of this leprosy disease and get their treatment done on time, then it can be completely cured. She told that we should eat not only carbohydrates but also proteins in our food, this strengthens the immune system and increases the ability to fight against this disease.
  • The *NCC Department* celebrated *74th Republic Day* on 26th January,2023 under the astounding supervision of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar in the premises of this institution. On this auspicious jubilation, *Mr. Anil Gupta*, College Managing Committee, presided over as the eminent Chief Guest. Under the guidance of Dr. Anjana Malhotra, ANO, NCC, the flag hosting ceremony was observed. NCC cadets presented an entertaining program. Their fervent performances enthralled the beholders. They presented the spirit of independent India. Madam principal discussing the interpretation of the Republic Day, said that the constitution of India preach diversified values which bind the different sects and the people in one thread. Lieutenant Dr. Anjana Malhotra said that the true meaning of republic is a form of government which is ruled by representatives of the citizen body. She added that we all are the proud citizens of India. In order to eradicate the evils, one must act in accordance with the constitution.
    • The 53 NCC cadets of the Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar participated in Annual Training Camp at R. R. Bawa DAV College, Batala from 7-11-22 to 14-11-22. The cadets participated in a number of events and bagged 26 Gold Medals and 1 bronze medal. Gold Medals were bagged by Cadets in Group Song, Kho-Kho, Declamation, Piloting and Guard of Honor and bronze medal in shooting and poster making. Group commander honored ANO Lt Dr. Anjna Malhotra for her assiduous efforts for the upliftment of NCC and gifted her plant also. 
    • Cadet Naveen Salaria won Gold Medal in Shooting and Cadet Zinnia won Bronze in shooting.
    • Kho-Kho team under Captain Zinnia won Gold Medal. 
    • Cadet Sakshi and team won Gold Medal in Group Song.
    • Corporal Zinnia and Cadet Palak  bagged Gold Medal in Piloting. 
    • Sergeant Sukriti, Cadet Mandeep, Cadet Muskaan and Cadet Naveen Salaria won Gold Medal in Guard of Honor.
    • Cadet Ramandeep got Bronze Medal in Poster-Making.

·         The NCC cadets are always ready to do their best. And they do best over land, on the sea, and in the air just because they are NCC cadets."Every student is marked with some quality but NCC cadets are marked with excellence. To add the charm to the event, NCC cadets of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar, Punjab presented Giddha and group song in a function in honour of Rajya Raksha Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt at GNDU auditorium on 29 October 2022 under the brilliant guidance of principal Dr. Reena Talwar. Lt. Dr. Anjna Malhotra( ANO and Professor in Political Science) and Mrs. Pooja ( Assistant Professor in English) along with the team made their best efforts to make the event memorable and cheerful.Sh. Ajay Bhatt, Hon'ble Rajya Raksha Mantri was the chief guest in the event. He inspired the cadets and discussed the contribution  of Ncc cadets in building of a great nation. He also motivated the cadets to be disciplined as it is the foundation of our whole life. He also praised the services of all ANOs and NCC cadets. The Group song and Giddha presented by our students added a large sum of joy and vitality to the event and it was highly commendable. Group commander honoured NCC cadets of shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar.

 

·         NCC ,NSS and Red Ribbon club of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar , “Under Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat”, organised a programme to celebrate 115th Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Ajam Bhagat Singh, under the able guidance of principal Dr Reena Talwar . NCC cadets Organised a cycle rally from college to village Magrala at 7:30 in the morning and created awareness among the people of village about the ideology of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. After that in the college auditorium , a seminar was organised on life of Bhagat Singh and His Ideology. Dr. Reena Talwar told the students about the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji and how he created awareness about freedom among the common people of India at that time and he gave his life at very young age to get his country free from British Government.Nodal officer of the program ANO Dr.  Anjana Malhotra said Bhagat Singh is  the role model for every Indian. He taught a lesson of patriotism to every Indian.Mrs.  Monica , HOD History department presented her self written poem on life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur from political science department threw light on different aspects of life of Bhagat Singh. She told that he could have easily escaped from jail but he did not and he chose to give his life for the freedom of his country. NCC Cadets presented last days of his life spent in jail by presenting a Nukkad Natak and created the scene of his last moments very beautifully, when he kissed the rope and was hanged . Dr. Reena Talwar appreciated the efforts of all the three departments for the successful organisation of this program.

  •  64 new cadets were recruited in the NCC department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar on 9/9/22. The recruitment program was conducted under the guidance of Col. Aridhman Sharma, Commanding Officer, 1st Punjab Girls Battalion Amritsar and Principal Dr. Reena Talwar. ANO Lt. Dr. Anjna Malhotra while welcoming the new cadets apprised them about the rules and objectives of NCC.The Rank Ceremony of NCC Cadets was also organized on the occasion. Cadet Priyanka was conferred with the title of Senior Under Officer, Cadet Palak and Cadet Nageeta as Under Officer, Cadet Kiranpreet and Cadet Genia as Corporal, Cadet Naveen Silaria and Cadet Shipali as Sergeant, Cadet Prabhjot Kaur as Lance Corporal.Principal Dr. Reena Talwar congratulated the newly recruited cadets. She told the cadets about unity and discipline and said that these are not only the objectives of NCC but also the purpose of life. If you want to be successful in life and make your contribution in uplifting the country, then it is necessary to make these two rules the pillars of life. On this occasion, Karmjit Singh was present on behalf of NCC Amritsar Unit.
  • NCC cadets participated in Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebration at Government Senior Secondary School Dinanagar on 15th August 2022.

 

  • Har Ghar Tiranga Rally was conducted by NCC of Shanti Devi Arya mahila College Dinanagar on 13th August 2022.Cadets distributed flags as per the Program of the National Government of India.

·         Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, NCC & NSS Departments and EBSB club celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit mahotsav to commemorate 75 years of independence under the mission “ Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat “. Chief guest DIG BSF Headquarters Gurdaspur, Sh Prabhakar Joshi along with Guest of Honour Dy. Commandant Sh. Rajneesh Kashyap hoisted the National Flag in college campus . Principal Dr Reena Talwar welcomed the family members of Freedom Fighters Sh. Ram Singh Ji, Sh. Visakhi Ram ji and Sh. Gandharv Singh Ji from village chauhana near Dinanagar.Principal Madam . Secretary Sh. Dharam Indu Gupta ji and Managing Committee member Mrs. Namita Gupta ji welcomed the guests by Presenting Potted Plants to carry on the Green Initiative taken by college to save environment. All the dignitaries paid tribute to Freedom Fighters. NCC ANO Dr. Anjana Malhotra conducted the stage .NCC cadets got all the appreciation for cultural program presented by them with full zeal and enthusiasm. Principal Madam said that we can become true Indian if we will abide by our duties  honestly towards our country  and just by merely putting our DP with tiranga we can never be a true patriot. DIG Sir said we should feel proud to be citizens of India , which has the most beautiful geography and has four amazing seasons to enjoy . Kunwar Vicky ji said we should respect our freedom fighters  who gave their lives to get it free , and we should salute our war heroes also .Madam Principal encouraged all the staff members and students to participate in Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan and to hoist National Flags at their homes to mark 75Years Of Independence. NSS Coordinator Mrs.Sangeeta Malhotra, NSS Program Officers Dr. Sushma Gupta , Mrs. Sunita Verma ,Mrs. Deepak Jyoti and Mrs. Jyoti Saini took active part in celebration of this Iconic Week under the Mission  EBSB . Dr. Kulwinder Kaur Chheena  , Mrs. Randeep Dhoot  , Mrs. Parveen Saini , Mrs. Shelika Aggarwal, Dr. Sonam Gupta ,Miss Dilpreet , Mrs. Meenu Gupta and other staff members were present on the occasion. Principal Madam and managing committee members honoured  all the worthy guests by giving them College Mementoes and gifts .

  • Under the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan of the Government of India, the NCC Department along with the Bharat Vikas Parishad, cleaned the drain flowing near Dayanand Math Dinanagar. In this Cadets are not only doing cleanliness of the water resources, but with the members of the Bharat Vikas Parishad cadets are doing recycling of the collected garbage and plastic.NCC cadets clean the drain running near Dayanand Math. The cadets cleaned the drain by collecting plastic and waste. Cadets  reused  that waste and made plastic bricks, brooms out of plastic bottles and also made plastic flowers. The beautiful table was made by painting the waste tyres. In this way the cadets encouraged the youth to reuse plastic. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Reena Talwar said that if we want to build a healthy and clean India, then we have to reduce the use of plastic and try to move towards development by using the resources around us properly.  ANO Lt. Dr. Anjana Malhotra of NCC said that rivers and drains are the source of life, it is the duty of every citizen to keep them clean because clean water is the basic need of life.Mr. Mohit Aggarwal of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Dinanagar encouraged the students and said that we also need to clean our mind and soul. We should try to keep the water sources clean.On this occasion, the Vice Principal of the college Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mrs. Shailika Agrawal, President of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Women's Wing, Mrs. Parveen Saini, member of Bharat Vikas Parishad and Dr. Anjana played an active role.
  • Under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat mission, NSS, NCC and buddy group organised an activity as a part of Azaadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. Under the supervision of worthy Principal of College Dr. Reena Talwar and following the guidelines of Govt., the staff members and students of this prestigious institution took a pledge under the theme "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" on 12/08/2022. Mrs. Parveen Saini, the event organiser guided the students about the importance of this event and motivated the students to spread this message in their surroundings to aware the people about worse effects of drug addiction and substance abuse.
  • N.S.S. and N.C.C. Departments of Our College, Under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat mission, for the celebration of independence Day, during the Iconic week 8 to 15 August 2022, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, Dr. Sushma Gupta and Mrs. Sunita Verma alongwith NSS and NCC Volunteers planted tree saplings at Dayanand mathh Dinanagar.It is a spirited campaign under the aegis of Har Ghar Tricolor 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', encouraging people to hoist and celebrate it to mark the 75th year of India's independence. To observe such an auspicious occasion, Swami Sadanand Ji,   at Dayanand Mathh Dinanagar,  inspired the students to take part in such activities and also made them aware about the sacrifices of our patriots to achieve the country's independence.Along with this, Swami Sadanand ji , also inspired the students, to plant tree saplings under the cleanliness campaign so that our environment can become clean and pollution free.Swami Sadanand ji, lauded this campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that it aims to inculcate the spirit of patriotism in the hearts of citizens and promote awareness about our National flag.
  • N.C.C department celebrated “ International Yoga Day “ on 21st June 2022 , under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar and ANO Dr. Anjana Malhotra . Students of NCC department  attended one week yoga classes.  Principal Dr. Reena Talwar motivated the students to adopt yoga in their regular activities for a better lifestyle. She said that with the help of yoga one can attain physical and mental health to lead a peaceful life.

 

  •  Science , NSS and NCC departments of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar, celebrated Earth Day dated 22nd April 2022 under Ek Bharat shreshth Bharat (EBSB program) under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar. The theme for Earth Day 2022 was invest in our planet. During this day the students participated enthusiastically by making posters, slogans and collage. The Earth Day aims to spread awareness about issues including pollution, deforestation and global warming. Principal Dr. Reena Talwar told that celebration of Earth Day draws attention to the environment and promotes conservation and sustainability. Conservation of water and control of pollution is the need of the hour. She told that there is urgent need to raise awareness of the climate crisis and bring about behavioural changes to protect the environment. During this program, Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mrs. Sunita Verma, Mrs. Sangeeta Malhotra, Mrs. Deepak Jyoti, Mrs Jyoti Saini and Dr. Anjna Malhotra were also present.
  •  N.S.S, N.C.C, Red Ribbon Club, Red Cross, Youth Welfare Departments celebrated “World Health Day” on 7.4.2022 under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) programme, and Organized a Blood Donation camp under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, which was sponsored by Red Cross Society Gurdaspur.Principal Dr. Reena Talwar welcomed the guests i.e., D.C. Gurdaspur: Smt. Shala Qadri, Blood Transfusion Officer, Civil Hospital Gurdaspur: Dr. Pooja and Director, Red Cross Society, Gurdaspur:Sh. Rajiv ji by presenting them Bouquet.During the camp, about 70 students were registered for blood donation by Mr. Suresh Singh (Counselor) and Mrs. Gurmeet Kaur (Staff).Before blood donation, blood groups were determined and Hemoglobin estimation was done  by Mr. Sunil: Lab Technician (P.H.C. Baharampur).D.C. Gurdaspur Mrs. Shala Qadri told the children that donating blood has many health benefits including improving heart health and weight control, it has a great effect on both the body and mind of the donor. She told, After donating blood, your body gets engaged in the work of completing the blood, which prompts the body's cells to make more red blood cells. Regular blood donation stimulates the cells of the body, which improves the fitness of the body and helps in controlling blood pressure. At the same time, the thought of doing a good deed through blood donation also gives satisfaction.Principal Dr. Reena Talwar motivated the children to donate blood and told that high amount of iron in the blood can increase the risk of heart disease, but donating blood regularly can control the excess amount of iron, which is important for heart health. Blood donation is good  and can prevent many types of cancers also.Principal Dr. Reena Talwar honored the guests during the  blood donation camp by presenting them insignia of the college.The Blood donation camp was run under the supervision of teachers like Mrs. Randeep Dhoot, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Dr. Anjna Malhotra, Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mrs. Sunita Verma, Mrs. Deepak Jyoti and  Mrs. Jyoti Saini.

 

  • The NCC and NSS Department celebrated Vijay Diwas on 17th Dec. 2021 under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar to honour the victory of Indian Army Forces over Pakistan in the 1971 war.The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Sanjay Gupta, 2nd in command-BSF, 58th Battalion BSF, Madhopur and Mr. Rajnish Kumar, Deputy Commandant, BSF, Gurdaspur.On this occasion, NCC Cadets and NSS students organised a colourful programme in the glory of Vijay Diwas.The atmosphere reverberated with patriotic slogans. The Cadets also expressed the history of Vijay Diwas through their speech.Sri Sanjay Gupta said on the occasion that the credit for the '1971 victory' goes to the will power and powerful leadership of Mrs.Indira Gandhi as well as our glorious Army. He appreciated the enthusiasm of the students. Principal Dr. Reena Talwar said that this victory is a symbol of the valor of our Army. Along with celebrating the victory, we should also pay our heartfelt tributes to the soldiers who laid down their lives for this victory. Dr.Anjana, Lieutenant, NCC, said that the victory of 1971 was infact a victory of the movement for the protection of Human Rights in Eastern Pakistan. It is an honour for us to have BSF Jawans in this programme as these soldiers provide us a safe environment. Speaking on this occasion, Mrs. Sangeeta Malhotra, Co-ordinator, NSS, told that the NSS Department always goes to the BSF Headquarters, Gurdaspur during Raksha Bandhan to tie Rakhis to the soldiers and the students make sweets with their own hands for them. On this occasion, Dr. Sushma Gupta, (Doctor of NSS),Mrs. Sunita Verma,Mrs Jyoti Saini, Mrs Meenal Gupta were also present.

 

  • The NCC and NSS Department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College paid tribute to the victims of Helicopter crash by taking out candle Light march on 11th Dec 2021.Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, a condolence meeting was held on the sudden demise of India's first Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madam Madhulika Rawat along with other Army officers in a helicopter crash. The  NCC cadets paid homage to the chopper crash martyrs by observing a two-minute silence. Later, all the students and the teachers paid their heartfelt tributes by lighting candles. This was followed by serenity prayer. Principal Dr Reena Talwar said that this  tragic accident has brought tears to the eyes of the whole country as it has lost its 13 capable and promising officers whose sudden demise has left a void which can never be filled. Dr Anjana, ANO Lieutenant of NCC, said that Late CDS General Bipin Rawat was an outstanding soldier and a true patriot.He made a significant contribution to the modernization of the Armed Forces and the Security System. Mrs.Sangeeta Malhotra,Incharge of NSS, said that the exemplary contribution and commitment of General Bipin Rawat  cannot be described in words.

 

  • PG department of Political Science and NCC of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar organised expert talk of professor Chandra Mohan Upadhyay principal Kalicharan PG College Lucknow on the growth of constitutional India to celebrate Constitution Day under the guidance of principal Dr. Reena Talwar. In his Talk Dr. Upadhyay discussed the growth process of Indian constitution. Thousand years before Christ when the people of Mithila established the world’s first republic. He discussed the historical growth of Indian constitution how we started from rig Veda Atharva Veda then he elaborated Arthashastra of Kautilya manusmriti of Manu and then he discussed many acts passed by Britishers to regulate India and after that he discussed the making of Indian constitution by constituent assembly. He also discussed that In European countries social and economic revolutions change the political environment and theories but in India and other parts of Asia politics change the social and economic environment of the country.Principal Dr. Reena Talwar stated that our constitution is a dynamic living institution. Whatever may be it’s perfection a constitution need not and should not stand in the way of countries progress even if it is made only to suit the condition and circumstances of one age it need to not fail in another. Our constitution is very flexible constitution. In her vote of thanks Dr. Anjana Malhotra stated that it is the beauty of our constitution that we are enjoying our rights in free environment. Our state is a welfare state and during the period of corona pandemic government proved this fact that we are a welfare state with socialist democracy.
  • 77 NCC cadets of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar attended different National level  camps. Cadet Priyanka attended mountaineering Camp at Uttarkashi.  15 Cadets of NCC attended tracking Camp at Ajmer. 61 Cadets attended ATC Camp at RR Bawa DAV College Batala in the month of  November 2021. Cadets attended these camp with great zeal. Cadets Secured first place in poster making competition, singing competition and essay writing competition. Cadet sukriti honoured with medal for best performance in guard of honour.Principal Dr. Reena Talwar congratulated NCC department for their achievements in all three camps.
  • SDAM College awarded by Brigadier Rohit Kumar ji, Group Commander, Amritsar, NCC Group for excellent work done by SDAM College Dinanagar during Corona Period. College organised vaccination camps and corona testing camps. Cadets campaigned against drug addiction in near villages. Cadets distributed medicines, masks, sanitizers and grocery items to needy people. Cadets started reuse of plastic campaign. Cadets are making different things by using plastic bricks.
  • NCC department and Dr. Ambedkar Study Centre celebrated "Hindi Diwas" on dated 14th September 2021. On this day, Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competition held at College Campus.NCC cadets participated in these competitions. Around 65 cadets made posters and write slogans to aware people about importance of Hindi.
  • NSS & NCC Departments gave warm welcome to 55 BSF Jawans participating in "FIT INDIA CYCLE RALLY" along with their Officers and DIG Sh. Prabhakar Joshi ji under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar on 19th August 2021.These Jawans started this Rally on 15th August 2021 from Jammu and they will reach their destination Gujarat on 2nd October 2021.Kunwar Ravinder Singh Vicky along with family members of Shaheed Parivars joined this function and played a great role in organising this memorable event in Dinanagar. BSF Jawans were welcomed at college gate by presenting Bouquets , Garalands and Flags by Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, Vice Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta ,PRO Dr. Kulwinder Kaur Chheena,IQAC coordinators, Mrs, Randeep Dhoot & Dr. Manita Kahlon , NSS Coordinator Mrs. Sangeeta Malhotra,ANO of NCC Dr. Anjana Malhotra , NSS Program Officers Mrs. Sunita Verma, Mrs. Deepak Jyoti and Mrs. Jyoti Saini , Mrs. Neenu Sharma along with NCC cadets and NSS volunteers .A cultural programme on patriotic theme for entertainment of the team was organised in the College auditorium . The main attraction of this event was celebration of Raksha Bandhan Festival. Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, ANO Of NCC, All NSS program Officers , NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers  tied Rakhi to All officers and Jawans and wished for their safety and success in their mission to protect our country. Principal Dr. ReenaTalwar paid heartiest thanks to DIG Sh. Prabhakar Joshi ji , Kunwar Ravinder Singh Vicky ji ,all Commanding Officers and Jawans of BSF and members of Shaheed Parivars for their kind visit and honoured them by giving College Mementoes . Officers of BSF and Kunwar Vicky ji presented a  memento and thanked  Principal Dr. Reena Talwar for hosting such a graceful event .
  • NCC & NSS Department organized series of activities to commemorate 75th Anniversary of Indepedence Day from 6th August 2021 to 13th August 2021.
  • On international Youth Day,NCC Cadets visits the temple of Shaheed situated at Village Paniaar, near Gurdaspur. Cadets Cleaned the temple and offered their gratitude with flowers. Kunwar Ravinder Singh Vicky, General Secratary,Shaheed Parivaar Suraksha Parishad briefed about Shaheed Ranbir Singh to cadets.

 

  •  Science, NSS and NCC departments of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar organised one day covid-19 vaccination camp on 7th August 2021 under the the supervision of principal Dr Reena Talwar. A team of 4 members including Mrs Balwinder Kaur, Mrs Narendra Kaur, Mr Sumit Mahajan and Mr Ritik Sharma from civil hospital Dinanagar visited the college campus and vaccinated 100 members including teaching, non teaching staff and students. Mrs. Parveen Saini, incharge of this program and other staff members of college were also there to guide and motivate the students for vaccination.

 

  • NSS & NCC Department pays homage to the Martyrs of Kargil on "Kargil Vijay Diwas".
  • World Population Day was celebrated by NCC Department on 11 July 2021.
  • NCC cadets attended webinar on Anti drug campaign organised by Punjab government on 23rd June,2021.
  • Five Days Annual training camp from 9th February to 13th February was organized by 1 Pb girls Battalion NCC in college Premises. 250 Cadets from different school and colleges related with NCC participated in this camp.CO Col. Aridhaman Sharma, Adam Officer Major Depti Shukla and Lt. Dr. Anjna Malhotra administered the different activities like Drill, Shooting, classes etc, On the Last day Group Commander, Amritsar group, Brig. Rohit Kumar Sharma along with Cos of 7 pb. And 1 Pb. Boys visited camp in college premises and addressed the cadets. . 

 

  • NCC dept. in collaboration with 1 Pb. Girls battalion,Amritsar organized a Webinar cum Poetical Recitation Competition on World Fraternity day on 4th Feb,2021.In this Competition,NCC cadet Ankita from Our College got first position,Yogita got second position and Adhya from Army School Pathankot got third position.Dr. Anjna Malhotra,ANO, was the main speaker of this webinar.

 

  • Akanksha Sharma,NCC cadet participated in Prime Minister Rally 2021.She was the only cadet from Gurdaspur District who got selected for this rally.

 

  • NCC & NSS dept. celebrated "World Leprosy Eradication day" on 1st Feb 2021.On this day,Chetna rally was conducted from College to Leprosy home.Woolen Clothes and eatables(Grocery,Fruits,Chocolates,Biscuits) were distributed to the families of Leprosy home.
  • Political Science & NSS & NCC Department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar celebrated Martyrdom Day Of Mahatama Gandhi on 31/1/21 under the able guidance of Principal Mrs. Ratna Sharma. A Documentary movie was shown to students on life of Mahatma Gandhi  in College Campus and Tree plantation was done at Dayanand Math Dinanagar .   •  NCC & Political Science dept. organized an essay writing Competition on the topic "Idology and thoughts of Lala Lajpat Rai" on 28 Jan,2021.In this Competition,Ravneet Kaur of BA-V sem got first position,Vandna of BA-III sem got second position and Anjali of  BA-I sem got third position.
  • NCC & Political Science dept. celebrated "Republic day" on 25th Jan,2021by organizing Quiz Competition on "Indian Constitution".In this competition Bhumika & Team got first position,Himankshi & team got second position and Chandna & team got third position.
  • Certificate of Appreciation given to Dr. Anjna Malhotra for her exemplary service during Covid-19 crisis towards civil administration.

 

  • On international Youth Day,NCC Cadets visits the temple of Shaheed situated at Village Paniaar, near Gurdaspur.Cadets cleaneed the temple and offered their gratitude with flowers. Kunwar Ravinder Singh Vicky, General secratary, Shaheed Parivaar Suraksha Parishad briefed about Shaheed Ranbir Singh to cadets. 
  • NSS & NCC Dept. pays Homage to the Martyrs of Kargil on Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July,2020.

  • NCC cadets celebrated world population day on 11th July 2020.

 

  •  NCC cadets of SDAM College Dinanagar celebrated international day against drugs addiction. Cadets educated the people of their villages against this menace.Cadets made posters, slogans, wrote poems on this issue.

·         World No Tobacco Day was celebrated by NSS and NCC Departments on 31st May.

·         NSS & NCC Deptt. of SDAM College Dinanagar pays homage to the Martyrs of Kargil on Kargil Vijay Diwas(1999-2019)

·         NSS and NCC Department took pledge on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 31st october2019.

·         NSS and NCC Department of SDAM College Dinanagar celebrated constitution day.

·         NCC Day has been celebrated by Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar.Different sort of competitions organised on this day. 

·         Swachhta campaign by NCC Cadets in College campus on 16-10-19.

·         Cadet Priti Saini of SDAM College, Dinanagar is selected for North Zone shooting championship. She qualified XXIX All India G.V. Mavalankar shooting championship in Small Bore Rifle at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Now she will play North Zone championship

·         Cadets are attending Military attachment camp at Jalandhar

  • Cadet Priti saini is going for pre national shooting competition at Ahmedabad. She has won state level shooting competition held at PAP shooting          range Jalandhar on 6-8-2019.

·         11 Cadets appeared in ‘B’ Certificate Exam of NCC at DAV International School, Amritsar on 3rd February 2019.

·         ·    6 Students attended NCC Camp at Andhara Pradesh, Guntur. Cadet Rimpi and Anu got Gold medal in Running and Essay Writing respectively from 7th    to 17th January 2019.

·         Cadet Anu Bharti and Preeti Saini attended pre – RDC Camp at Sathlani Sahib . Distt Amritsar from 2 to 11th Nov. 2018

·         NCC department of Sdam in collaboration with SBI dinanagar organized intellectual and awareness conclave for E- Banking on 30th October.

·         NCC department of SDAM college organized lecture and awareness rally on 25th of August Dr. Pannu, renowned Doctor delivered lecture on awareness to prevent cancer. ANO Dr. Anjna Malhotra organized this event under the guidance of principal Mrs. Ratna Sharma. Dr. Sushma Gupta, Dr. Reena talwar, Mrs. Sunita Verma, Mrs. Jyoti Saini, Mrs Mandeep, miss gurmeet were accompanied cadets. 102 cadets participated in it.

·         Postgraduate department of Political science along with NCC, Red Cross and Youth welfare department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar  celebrated 71st republic day
