FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE 

Ragging in any form is prohibited in the Shanti Devi Arya Mahila college Dinanagar.


The College has an Anti-Ragging Committee as per norms, since its inception.

Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar  is a zero ragging campus and it strictly enforces the anti- ragging measures. Anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging is liable to be punished as it is a criminal offence. Severe action will be taken against who found indulging in ragging in any form.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL/SEXUAL ABUSE

EXPELLED FROM THE INSTITUTION

 

VERBAL ABUSE

BANNED FROM THE HOSTEL

INDECENT BEHAVIOR

 

HER SCHOLARSHIP CAN BE WITHDRAWN

CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION/ WRONGFUL RESTRAINT

DEBARRED FROM EXAMINATIONS

 

MISUNDERSTANDING HUMAN DIGNITY

DENIED ADMISSION TO ANY INSTITUTION

USE OF FORCE

INSTITUTION WILL FILE FIR WITH LOCAL POLICE AGAINST THOSE WHO RAG/ABET RAGGING

The duties of the Anti-Ragging Committee is : 

  •    To ensure compliance with the UGC  Regulations and the provisions of any law in force concerning ragging.
  •    To monitor and oversee the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in prevention of ragging in the institution.
  •    Apart from this, the students are closely monitored by the teaching and non-teaching faculty in the campus.
  •    These rigorous practices ensure absolute absence of ragging and no case is recorded.

   Anti-Ragging Squad

    The duties of the Anti-Ragging Squad : 

  •   To  make surprise inspection of  hostels, Students accommodations, mess, rest rooms and other places vulnerable to these incidents.
  •   To take any measure to augur well in preventing / quelling ragging.
  •   To display the anti-ragging posters at all prominent places in the campus.
  •   To make aware of the antiragging helplines and websites, anti-ragging monitoring agency.
  •   To take legal actions as per the law.

  • Steps you can take:

    •       Inform Class Teacher, HoD, Mentor or Members of  Anti-Ragging  Cell.

      

    How to file a complaint ?
    •Clearly describe the incident with dates , times, locations  and names.
    •Note : False complaints may result in penalties.
