In this webinar Dr. Viney Kapur, VC of Dr. B. R Ambedkar National law University, Sonipat and Col. Ari Dhaman Sharma, Commanding officer of 1 Punjab girls battalion NCC were the main speakers. Dr Anjna Malhotra, coordinator, Dr. Ambedkar study centre was the moderator in this webinar. Principal Dr. Reena Talwar welcome the distinguished speakers and elaborated the theme of the webinar. Doctor Vinay Kapoor by giving illustrations from history and Vedas emphasized that women empowerment wave generated from west not from east because in East women were enjoying good position. Col. Aridhaman emphasized that NCC is a platform where women are showing their excellence.

§ Science Department of Shanti Devi Arya mahila College, Dinanagar organised webinar in collaboration with Punjab biodiversity board Chandigarh , funded by National biodiversity authority, Government of India, on the topic : "The Critical role of Biodiversity in Sustainable development" on 20/5/2021.This webinar was organised in lieu of celebration of international biodiversity day being celebrated on 22nd May every year. The theme of this year to celebrate this event was "we are part of solutions for nature " this theme was in continuation of previous year theme that is "our solutions are in nature". § International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 June 2021 at SDAM College Dinanagar. NSS and physical education department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar Organised one day Online Webinar on “ Yoga for Immunity, Respiratory & Emotional well-Being “ to celebrate International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2021 in collaboration with Isha foundation under the able guidance of principal Dr. Reena Talwar. From Isha Foundation Dr Monica Gupta played active role in organising this webinar and Miss Tayagini , Yoga Expert was the moderator of this event . More than 135 participants including volunteers and staff members of the college participated in this event and did practise of Pranayama & Simha Kriya in supervision and guidance of Shri Sadguru ji . He also gave training of different respiratory exercises to be done to improve oxygen level in the bidy. These exercises were taught by keeping in mind its prime need for fighting against pandemic of Covid -19. Dr Reena Talwar thanked the members of Isha Foundation and NSS Coordinator Mrs Sangeeta Malhotra, Miss Taljinder Kaur ,Head yhi Phy.Edu. § Science department in collaboration with NSS department of Shanti Devi Arya mahila College Dinanagar attended webinar on Anti drug campaign under the supervision of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar .This webinar was organised by Punjab Government and there was interaction of students and staff members with buddy groups under Higher Education Department to promote Anti Drug campaign by Honble Chief Minister. More than 50 students participated in this webinar. The various staff members i.e., Dr Sushma Gupta, Mrs Sunita Verma, Dr Kulwinder Kaur chheena, Mrs Praveen Saini , Mrs Sangeeta Malhotra , Mrs Deepak Jyoti and Mrs Jyoti Saini were also present during this webinar.

Department of Hindi under IQAC organized "Hindi Samarpan Samaroh" from 14 September to 29 September 2021.In this Samaroh 'Hindi Film Festival' from 16th September to 20 September also held at College Campus.In this Film Festival, Movie Godan, Rajnigandha(Yehi sach hai),Ander Nagri & Page 3 were shown to the students.One day Webinar on "Vaishvic dharatal par hindi ki sathiti" also organized on 28th September. Principal Dr. Reena Talwar in her inaugural address said that the theme "Orange the World: End Violence against Women Now!" is very relevant. Dr. Khusboo Mahajan, Research associate in department of Political Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh, elaborately discussed the various forms of violence against women in India. She said that our society and its centuries old norms are responsible for the condition of women. Mrs. Randeep Dhoot head of Political Science department extended thanks to the speakers and participants and said that women must be educated for a healthy and a happy life. Education is the best antidote to stop violence against her. An educated woman will be aware of her rights and can fight against all kinds of social evils and domestic violence.
§ Department of History of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar and IQAC, organised a webinar on the topic: ’’Colonialism and Contours of Cultural Resistance: Guru Nanak in Early Twentieth Century Punjabi Poetry’’ on 27th Nov. 2021. The eminent speaker of the event Dr. Jasbir Singh, Asst. Professor, Department of History, Punjab University, Chandigarh presented an insightful depiction on the relevance of Ideals represented in the writings of Guru Nanak Dev ji in the early twentieth century.He said, ‘’The cult of modernism have fostered colonised implications in the context of Punjabi poetry’’. He also stated a meticulous account of innumerable examples of cultural resistance. Dr. Reena Talwar expressed her views on the profound preachings of Guru Nank Dev ji and motivated the students to follow the three foremost principles- ‘Naam Japna, Kirat Karna and Vand Chhakna’. Mr. Narinder, the coordinator of this eventful webinar extended his gratitude to the eminent speaker, the organisers and the Department of Computer Science and IT for their untiring efforts.
§ Department of Psychology under the aegis of IQAC of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar organized a webinar on the topic "Career Opportunities in Psychology " under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar on 4th December 2021. Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Lone, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara was the eminent speaker of the day.Dr. Reena Talwar formally welcomed the guest and enlightened the relevance of psychology in all spheres of life. Dr. Zahoor discussed about all possible fields and aspects where students of psychology can aspire to have a successful career. He elaborated on the basic qualification required for various careers as a professional psychologist. Mrs.Sonam Gupta, head of psychology department, thanked the speaker for the enlightening guidance session to the participants and making them aware about various career opportunities in psychology. Mrs.Deepak Jyoti, head of computer science department, Mrs. Priyanka Gupta, Ms. Kirti, all colleagues, the technical staff and the students were thanked for their cooperation.
§ Dr. Ambedkar studies Centre of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College organised a webinar on "Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace": Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal on 13th Dec 2021 under the direction of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar. Mrs Navdeep Kaur Gill, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Gurdaspur and Advocate Prabhdeep Singh Sandhu, Member District Legal Services Authority Gurdaspur were the main speakers of this Webinar.Shrimati Navdeep Kaur elaborated legal provisions especially 2013 Act for the protection of women at workplace. Sexual harassment includes such unwelcome sexually determined behavior as physical contact and advances, demand or request for sexual favors, sexually colored remarks, showing pornography and any other unwelcome physical verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature. Advocate Prabhdeep Singh stated that sexual harassment violates the women’s fundamental right of gender equality and life with dignity under article 14 and article 21 respectively. Although there are no specific laws for curbing sexual harassment at the workplace in India but certain provisions are there in other legislation like Indian Penal Code, which provides protection against women’s sexual harassments. He elaborated all provisions in constitution and Indian penal code regarding this issue. Principal Dr. Reena Talwar stated that Indian society is highly cultured society and sexual harassment is a curse for our rich heritage. She also discussed Me Too campaign that highlighted the problem of sexual harassment. Dr. Anjna Malhotra, coordinator of webinar, stated that with education and right to equality in constitution provide women various dimensions to work and to earn livelihood but due to unsafe environment women are facing many physical, social and psychological stress. Many provisions are there in constitution to protect women but due to lack of awareness and hesitation women are still suffering from this problem. Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College Dinanagar always tries to inculcate good values and confidence among women so that they can face the society and move ahead with courage and wisdom. Eminent speakers for this event were Dr. Aparna Maitri Pati, Chief Scientist, Institute of Himalaya Bioresource Technology( CSIR), Dr. Divya Kaushik, Registered Patent Agent, PIC & TISC, Government of India, and Dr. Hardeep Singh, OSD to Vice Chancellor office and Professor, Department of computer science, GNDU Amritsar.The event was hosted by Prof. Neenu Sharma. Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar firmly stated that in India there are several resourceful estates. To retain these, intellectual property rights are needed, as India is already lagging behind owing to its deprivation.Dr. Aparna Maitra Pati, while giving information on the topic of discovery of commercialization said that every product should have importance at the economic level. It must be beneficial universally. Registered Patent Agent Dr. Divya Kaushik gave information about the process of patenting, fee of patent and schemes of the government which are helpful in getting a patent right. There was an advantageous discourse on the shots of Haldi and Sanitizers which became milestones in helping humanity in the dire Corona times. Dr. Hardeep Singh said that every resource, every information must be disclosed after getting patent rights so that there is no detrimental usage. At the end of the event, Prof. Sunita Verma expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the speakers. Dr. Rajni Malhotra presented several insightful aspects of NEP 2020. She emphasized on the need of education which is helpful in the overall development of the individual. NEP has been revived with several reforms which are necessary.
