Principal Message

                                     I extend a warm welcome to all the passionate and energetic aspirants of the Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College family. I congratulate you for joining this prestigious organization where innovation is the password and the strive for excellence in education, sports and co-curricular activities is nurtured with able guidance and passion of highly qualified staff. From the past 56 years, this glorious institution is working with an avowed mission of empowering women of this rural and backward area. It is a matter of pride that the college has been Re-Accredited with the highest grade ‘A’ by NAAC. UGC has conferred college with the status of “College with Potential for Excellence”. The college has been conferred with Green Champion Award by Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education( MGNCRE) Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India for its Contribution to Swachhta Education and practice per district As many As 1000 higher educational institutions participated here in the ‘One District One Green Champion’ Award under Swachhta Action plan 2020-21.

The Institution, while proud of its past achievements, is marching ahead on its journey to achieve excellence, Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College has taken a lead in the region by successfully running 9 PG courses, B.Sc (Bio.tech), 4 B.Voc Courses which will provide ample opportunities to the students. Moving in sync with time, we must strengthen our traditional courses with the new technologies .Teaching-Learning is at the core of the institution ethos. We follow a student centric approach. Teachers are trained as empowered agents to bring social change. Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College stands for leadership with social responsibility. Our students benefit from a robust placement cell that works with the students throughout the year. Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College offers liberal, need based free ship and scholarship programmes. These Schemes enable students from this rural backward area to be part of our premier institution. The students participate in many outreach programmes that allow them to transform lives around them. Therefore, we at Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College strive to enable the girls be the ‘Best’ in their chosen pursuit. ‘The roots of education are bitter but the fruit is sweet’.
