The seminar featured Mrs. Heena Mahajan, a distinguished Chartered Accountant, as the Resource Person. She delivered an insightful and highly interactive session, providing students with practical, hands-on training in filing Income Tax Returns. Through real-life demonstrations, she familiarised the participants with the complete ITR filing process and the essential documents required, including the Annual Information Statement (AIS), Taxpayer Information Summary (TIS), and Bank Statements.Mrs. Mahajan also elaborated on important aspects of income tax compliance such as Form 26AS, various ITR forms, deductions available under the Old Tax Regime, payment of Advance Tax, and the procedure for filing returns for salaried individuals. The students actively participated in the session and had their queries addressed comprehensively, making the programme highly engaging and beneficial.The seminar concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Neenu Sharma, Head, Department of Commerce, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed Resource Person for sharing her valuable knowledge and expertise. As a token of appreciation, a memento was presented to CA Heena Mahajan in recognition of her significant contribution to the success of the seminar.
