27 Aug 2024 ↑ Under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the able patronage of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, Secretary, Managing Committee ,the sacred festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp, glory, and enthusiasm by the Post Graduate Department of Hindi on August 27, 2024. Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Gokulashtami, Shrikrishna Jayanti, and Janmashtami, celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu.

The program commenced with the recitation of devotional songs, followed by the lighting of the lamp. Dr. Poonam Mahajan, Head of the Department of Hindi, and Ms. Dilpreet, Head of the English Department, conducted the stage. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and members of the Managing Committee, Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta and Mrs. Namita Gupta, graced the occasion to seek the blessings of Lord Krishna.

Referring to the stories of Lord Krishna, Dr. Poonam inspired everyone to follow the path of devotion and everlasting faithfulness in God. According to Principal Madam, As educators, one must draw inspiration from Lord Krishna's teachings, cultivating a culture of selfless duty, detachment, and righteousness, to nurture compassionate and responsible individuals.

Mr. Arjun, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and IT, presented a melodious Bhajan, and Ms. Dilpreet, Head of the English Department, graced the stage with her enthusiastic and beautiful dance performance. There was chanting of "Radhe Radhe." The special attractions in the program included Prabhu Bhajan, Krishna Radha Viyog, Glimpse of Krishna Janam, Krishna Radha Nritya, Glimpse of Krishna's Life, and Dahi Handi. In the end, Bhog was offered to Thakur ji, and Prasad was distributed along with Aarti. The teachers of the department, Dr. Poonam Mahajan, Dr. Dimpal, Ms. Priya, and Ms. Manpreet, along with the students, put in tireless efforts to adorn the function. The participants were commended by Principal Madam and the guests. Finally, Lord's Prasad was distributed, and a mouth-watering, delicious Langer was arranged for everyone in the college premises.
