The event was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari and supervised by NSS Programme Officers Prof. Sunita Verma and Prof. Rama Kapoor, as part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Mission.This year’s World AIDS Day was based on the 2025 global theme: “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.” The college highlighted the importance of educating young people about HIV/AIDS, reducing stigma, and promoting timely health information.A special awareness lecture was delivered by Prof. Sunita Verma, who explained essential facts about HIV transmission, prevention, early testing, treatment options, and the need for a supportive environment for people living with HIV. She emphasized that misinformation and social stigma remain major barriers in the fight against AIDS and encouraged students to act as ambassadors of awareness in society.NSS Programme Officers Prof. Sunita Verma , Prof. Jyoti Saini, Prof. Neha Saini, Dr. Pooja and Prof. Rama Kapoor extended full support in organizing the lecture and motivating students to participate wholeheartedly.Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari appreciated the initiative of the NSS Department and encouraged students to remain well-informed and socially responsible. She emphasized that empowering youth with correct knowledge is essential for transforming the AIDS response at the community level.The programme concluded with a collective pledge by students to spread awareness, support inclusivity, and contribute to building a healthier and more informed society.
