11 Dec 2021 ↑ The NCC and NSS Department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College paid tribute to the victims of Helicopter crash by taking out candle Light march on 11th Dec 2021.Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, a condolence meeting was held on the sudden demise of India's first Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madam Madhulika Rawat along with other Army officers in a helicopter crash.

The  NCC cadets paid homage to the chopper crash martyrs by observing a two-minute silence. Later, all the students and the teachers paid their heartfelt tributes by lighting candles. This was followed by serenity prayer. Principal Dr Reena Talwar said that this  tragic accident has brought tears to the eyes of the whole country as it has lost its 13 capable and promising officers whose sudden demise has left a void which can never be filled. Dr Anjana, ANO Lieutenant of NCC, said that Late CDS General Bipin Rawat was an outstanding soldier and a true patriot.He made a significant contribution to the modernization of the Armed Forces and the Security System. Mrs.Sangeeta Malhotra,Incharge of NSS, said that the exemplary contribution and commitment of General Bipin Rawat  cannot be described in words.
