14 May 2022 ↑ The Department of Punjabi with the collaboration of *International Punjabi Sahitya Sabha, Dinanagar * organised the book release and critical appreciation of *Sardar Dhyan Singh Shah Sikandar's Poetry Book 'Kaav Rang'* where eminent poets ("Kavi") assembled to engage in recitation of their poetry & for paper presentation under the able patronage of esteemed Principal Dr. Reena Talwar on 14-5-2022.

 Principal Madam inaugurated the event by welcoming the renowned guests Sardar Dhyan Singh Shah Sikander, Sardar Panchi ji, Dr. Gurcharan kaur kochar, Dr. Suresh Mehta, Parveen Babha with potted plants followed by enlightening the lamp. In her address, She appreciated the work of Sardar Dhyan Singh Shah Sikandar. Taking references from Sardar Dhyan Singh’s poems, she said that literature is the mirror of society. Dr. Suresh Mehta thanked Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, Dr. Kulwinder kaur Cheenna, Staff, Students & guests for being a part of the occasion. The stage was conducted by Dr. Kulwinder kaur Cheenna, HOD, Punjabi deptt. Two research papers were presented by Ms. Sukhwinder kaur, Assistant Professor, Baba Naam Dev University College, kishankot & Dr. Vishal, Assistant Professor, University College, Sujanpur on changing scenarios of life and on various aspects of S. Dhyan Singh Shah Sikandar's life respectively. S. Dhyan Singh himself recited some poems from his book. To make the atmosphere entertaining, Mr.  Subhash Sufi sang a Sahitak  song in a melodious voice. After that kavi darbar started. Dr. Gurcharan Kaur Cocher while reciting her poems emphasised the need of better conditions and best opportunities for every woman. Sardar Panshi presented a thought provoking poem on the grave issue of Female foeticide. Along with this, he appreciated the value of discipline that every student present there had. Many prestigious guests like Fartoor chand ji fakkar, Dr. Banka Bahadur Arora, Mr. Vishamber Awankhiya, Mr. Rajneesh bhatti, Mr. Sultan Patti, Mr. Vijay kumar, Mr. Ravi kumar, Mr. Om bhagat, Mr.Ramesh were present. These eminent poets and speakers from nearby areas beautifully expressed their emotions and feelings in melodious words. The audience was enthralled. Some prestigious poets also distributed their books. At the end, every prestigious personality was gifted souvenirs. The members of International Punjabi Sahitya Sabha honoured Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, the College Management Secretary with a memento. They also honoured Principal Madam for the successful organisation and functioning of the event. Dr. Kulwinder kaur was honoured for her special contribution in prospering Art and Culture. The event concluded with the firm determination of bringing laurels to the genre of Punjabi Literature.
