28 Apr 2024 ↑ Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar solemnised its '51st Annual Convocation- 2024' to award degrees to its 2021-22 and 2022-23 batches of Graduates & Post Graduates under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, Secretary, Managing Committee on 28th April, 2024. Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dean Academic affairs (GNDU, Amritsar) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, Mrs. Nirmal Pandhi, Principal, Sant Baba Hazara Singh Singh College, Nikke Ghuman and Dr. J. K. S. Chauhan, Principal, S.S. College of Education as Guests of Honour and Mr. Anil Gupta, Mr. Inder Gupta, Mr. Vishal Gupta and Ms. Misha Gupta as Special Guests. A total of 737 students were awarded their degrees at this ceremony.

A total of 737 students were awarded their degrees at this ceremony.  The event commenced with vidhya jyoti and recitation of ved mantras. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta extended a hearty welcome to all the eminent personalities. Taking into consideration the majestic history of this institution, she provided a descriptive overview of the achievements of the college in academics, curricular, extra-curricular and sports activities. Dr. Palwinder Singh congratulated the degree holders and wished them a bright future. In his convocation address, he stated that we should consider others happiness over us. He gave  emphasis on moral values and said that sacrifice is the key of happiness. He inspired the students with his brief and captivating address. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mr. Anil Gupta and Mr. Vishal Gupta honoured the Chief Guest Dr. Palwinder singh and Guests of Honour with souvenirs. The program ended with a melodious singing by Palak and a mesmerizing and patriotic choreography by NCC Cadets. Palak was also awarded as the Best Singer. Dr. Neenu Sharma handled the stage beautifully. The entire staff of the college was present on the occasion. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta delivered the vote of thanks and the function ended with the national anthem.
