24 Nov 2022 ↑ Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar represented a great glimpse of Punjabi culture and tradition in *Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar* on pious occasion of the *53rd Foundation Day of Guru Nanak Dev University* on 24th November,2022. The talented students of our college, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, participated with huge zeal and bagged themselves a great amount of admiration from the chief guest Dr. Yogesh Kumar Chawla, Former Director, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, Dr. Sarabjinder Singh, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Religious Studies and Chairman, Sant Prem Singh Murale Wale Chair, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

Dr. Singh was the eminent speaker who delivered Academic lecture. The event was glorified with religious ceremonies; *Shri Akhand Path, Shabad Kirtan & Ardaas*. The *folklore Exhibition and Competition* added charm to the event. The College represented the beautiful picture of Punjabi Culture and Heritage by showcasing *Charkha, Gaggar, Chakki, Chattis, Kunni, Kayi, Dhol, Pakhian, Padholi, Hal, Datri, an Old Typewriter, Embroidered clothing, Phulkari, Sandook* and many such valuable things. The students crooned *Punjabi Folk songs, Tappe, Boliyan, Ghoriyan* and entertained the onlookers. They got the cash prize of Rs. 4000 for the dazzling exhibition. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University eulogised the glorious efforts of the students. Principal Madam congratulated Madam Hardeep Kaur,and all staff members for supporting the spark of Punjabi culture among youth.
