13 Nov 2025 ↑ Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar, hosted a spectacular cultural program, LOK UTSAV 2025, on November 13 November 2025 under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari and supervision of Dr. Deepak Jyoti, Dean Youth Welfare Department and Coordinator Ms. Jyoti saini. The event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Punjab, Folk Art Centre, Gurdaspur, North Zone Culture Patiala and Youth Welfare and Cultural Department of Government of Gujarat. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and chanting of mantras, setting the tone for a culturally enriching experience. Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari warmly welcomed the chief guest, Dr. S. K. Mishra, Vice Chancellor, IK Gujral Punjab State University, Gurdaspur and eminent guests Sardar Harman Preet Singh, Director Punjab Folk Art Centre, Gurdaspur.

Other eminent guests in the event were Mr. Sanjeev Shaad, anchor, folk artist and motivational speaker of Ministry of Folk Culture, Govt. Of India. Mr. Tushar, programme Officer, Youth Activity, Government of Gujarat also graced the event with his performance. Principal, Dr. Sarla Nirankari in her welcome speech emphasised on the value of cultural & folk art. She motivated the students to participate in cultural activities. The event showcased a diverse range of performances from nine different states, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of India.

Dr. Deepak Jyoti, Dean of the Youth Welfare Department and Coordinator Ms. Jyoti Saini, emphasized the importance of folk art and folk dances in preserving India's cultural identity. Managing Committee of the College and Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari honoured all the worthy guests. Hans Dance Academy, Gurdaspur played a pivotal role in this event. The success of LOK UTSAV 2025 was a testament to the collective efforts of the college management, faculty members, and students. Secretary Dharam Indu Gupta, Mrs. Namita Gupta, Dr. Deepak Jyoti and other dignitaries made a huge contribution in organizing the event.
