25 Mar 2023 ↑ Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar held its '50th Annual Convocation-2023' to award degrees to its 2020-21 batch of Graduates & Post Graduates on 25th March.2023 under the able guidance of Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar. Dr. Ashwani Bhalla, Deputy Director, Higher Education, Punjab, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Mrs. Rekha Bhalla as Guest of Honour. A total of 420 students were awarded their degrees at the convocation ceremony. The event commenced with the chanting of Saraswati Vandana and sacred Ved Mantras. Principal Dr. Reena Talwar extended a hearty welcome to all the eminent personalities. Taking into consideration the majestic history of this institution, she provided a descriptive overview of the achievements of the college in academics, curricular, extra-curricular and sports activities. Dr. Ashwani Bhalla congratulated the degree holders and wished them a bright future.

 In his convocation address, he  stated that girls should recognize the talent hidden inside them and move forward in every field.During this event, the chief guest also inaugurated the exhibition put up by Mrs. Jyoti Saini, Head, Fashion Designing Department and Mrs. Hardeep Kaur, Library Department of the college. A drama  'Katha ek kinnar ki', written by Dr. Suresh Mehta and directed by Mr. Pritpal Singh Bal, was enacted, which left an impassioned impact on the audience. Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, Secretary, Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, Mr. Anil Gupta and Mr. Inder Gupta honoured the Chief Guest Dr. Bhalla. On this occasion, Dr. Suresh Mehta, Mr. Pritpal Singh Bal, the students who contributed in the cultural programs and in the field of sports were also honored. The program ended with a mesmerizing dance performance by Shivani and the group. The dignitaries present on the occasion included Mrs. Namita Gupta, Mrs. Praveen Babaji,  Mrs. Neelam Gupta, Principal Mrs. Upma Mahajan, Mr. Prem Bharat, Mr. Bharat Indu Ohri,  Mr. Dinesh Shastri, Mr. Ishwar Bhalla, Dr. Bhupendra Singh, Dr. Suresh Mehta, Mr. Manav Mahajan and Mr. Satpal. Dr. Neenu Sharma handled the stage beautifully. The entire staff of the college was present on the occasion. Principal Dr. Reena delivered the vote of thanks and the function ended with the national anthem.
