Dr. J. J. Mohindru threw light upon Heterocyclic Compounds and their future prospects in Organic Chemistry. He told that Heterocyclic compound is the class of cyclic organic compounds, those having at least one hetero atom (i.e. atom other than carbon) in the cyclic ring system. They are frequently abundant in plants and animals and are very useful and essential for human life e.g., hormones, essential amino acids, hemoglobin, vitamins, and pigments. Heterocyclic Compounds have a wide range of applications in pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals and Veterinary products also . Career Guidance Session was also organized on this day during which , Resource persons made the students aware about various Carrier opportunities of science courses doing post-graduation, teaching, working in industries etc.,
Principal Dr. Reena Talwar honored the Resource Persons by providing them mementos having insignia of the college.
