21 May 2021 ↑ Science Department of Shanti Devi Arya mahila College, Dinanagar organised webinar in collaboration with Punjab biodiversity board Chandigarh , funded by National biodiversity authority, Government of India, on the topic : "The Critical role of Biodiversity in Sustainable development" on 20/5/2021.

This webinar was organised in lieu of celebration of international biodiversity day being celebrated on 22nd May every year. The theme of this year to celebrate this event was  "we are  part of solutions for nature " this theme was in continuation of previous year theme that is "our solutions are in nature".  Resource persons during this webinar were i.e., 

1. Dr Jagbir Singh  , Professor in  Department of  Zoology and environmental sciences, Punjabi University, Patiala.

2. Dr Daizy Batish,Professor in  Botany department, Punjab University, Chandigarh and 

3. Dr. S.S Hundal, Ex. Professor in Department of zoology,  PAU,  Ludhiana. 

 Dr Jagbir Singh spoke on "Biodiversity: Essence of life". Dr Daizy Batish threw light upon "Impact of Covid 19 Pandemic on Biodiversity" 

Dr. S.S Hundal spoke on Biodiversity: The Foundation for Sustainable Development.
