Science department of Shanti Devi Arya mahila College Dinanagar celebrated National Science day 2022 (catalyzed and supported by PSCST, NCSTC, DST , Govt. of India) in the month of February under the able guidance of Principal Dr Reena Talwar.
The main aim to celebrate this day is to spread a message about the importance of Science and technology in our daily life and to encourage the people as well as to popularize Science and technology. The theme for National Science day 2022 is “Integrated Approach in Science and technology for sustainable future”. Dr Reena Talwar told that this is the best time to come together to work for the survival of humanity at the time of this pandemic crisis and to spread awareness about the importance of the theme's approach in overcoming the challenges of the pandemic. She told that the aim to celebrate this day is to commemorate the great contribution of scientists like Sir C.V Raman and many others to make our life better.
To celebrate National Science day in the month of February Science week 22nd to 28th February was celebrated under the Azadi ka Amrit mahotsav during which various activities carried out were as follows:
Chetna rally, and various competitions like Declamation Contest , Poster making competition, Slogan writing competition and Lecture by Renowned Resource Person Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur (Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar)
Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur threw light upon the significance of Raman effect (discovery by Dr. C.V Raman) and correlated it with NSD 2022 theme and also made the students aware about its role in overcoming covid-19 pandemic situation.
In the competitions, students participated with great enthusiasm. The winners were awarded prizes by Principal Mam.
Principal Dr Reena Talwar congratulated all the participants and teachers from Science department i.e., Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mrs. Sunita Verma, Mrs. Parveen Saini, Mrs. Deepak Jyoti, Mrs. Priyanka Gupta, Ms. Sarita, Mr. Mohit Agrawal , Mr. Bharat Mahajan, Mrs. Pallavi , Ms. Priya, Mrs Mamta, Mrs. Swati etc.,
