07 May 2024 ↑ Science Department celebrated World Asthma Day on 7th May, 2024 under the able leadership of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and Mr. Indu Gupta, Secretary, Managing Committee. On this occasion Prof. Mohit Aggarwal, Department of Botany delivered a lecture on causes and symptoms of Asthma. He also discussed about the precautionary measures to be taken to defend this problem. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta enlightened the students with her words by saying that World asthma day is celebrated on 7th May each year to spread the awareness of asthma worldwide.

 The word "asthma" originates from the Greek meaning short of breath, meaning that any patient with breathlessness was asthmatic. The term was refined in the latter part of the 19th Century with the publication of a treatise by Henry Hyde Salter entitled "On Asthma and its Treatment". Incharge of Buddy group Dr. Parveen Saini and Head of Science Department Ms. Sunita Verma also guided the students to take healthy food to maintain healthy lifestyle and identify the substances allergic to their body to get rid of these types of health issues.
