
In the first session of the event, a discussion on the book 'Ik Supna' by renowned Punjabi writer and editor of 'Rupantar' Prof. Dhyan Singh Shahsikander was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Baldev Singh Balli, Dr. Ashok Hastir, Naresh Nirgun, Dr. Sarla Nirankari and Paul Gurdaspuri. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Baldev Singh Balli and others, in which they discussed every aspect of the book 'Ik Supna' in a very meaningful way. Dr. Sandeep Kaur in her research-rich and emotional paper called this book a great gift for the betterment of humanity. He expressed satisfaction that there has been a very deep and serious discussion on his book. District Language Officer of Gurdaspur Dr Suresh Mehta and others said that this book is a document of the humanitarian and honest thinking of Shah Sikandar and other people who want the welfare of humanity. He said that in future also efforts will be made to organize such events in the district. In the second round of the session, Kavi Darbar was organized in which the presentations of Naresh Nirgun, Paul Gurdaspuri, Dr. Ashok Hastir, Subhash Sahil, Puran Ehsan, Raj Gurdaspuri, Dr. Gurcharan Gandhi, Sultan Bharti, Ramesh Kumar Janu, Jaswinder Anmol, Chaudhary Shamsuddin, Gurmeet and Hitesh Shastri added poetic colour to the program. The program was led by Dr. Kulwinder Kaur Chheena, Head of Punjabi Department of the college and the stage was conducted by Raman Kumar Sharma. The program concluded by giving mementoes and saropa to the guests. Jai Singh Saini, Bhupinder Singh, Prof. Jagdish Kaur, Prof. Rukmini, Prof. Manjinder, Prof. Satinder, Prof. Bevi, Prof. Amandeep and Prof. Harinder and others were also present.
