Dr. Sushma Gupta along with the faculty of Punjabi Department welcomed him with potted plant. In her welcome address, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, the coordinator of the seminar, commenced the program emphasising the profound relation of Literature and Criticism. She added that Marxist criticism is one of the important trends of Punjabi criticism. According to the viewpoint of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta, a Literary criticism enables the readers to understand the relationship between author and work and to analyse the thematic aspects within the texts. Narrating the principles of the said topic, Dr. Naresh gave an elaborated overview of the famous critics like Mr. Sant Singh Sekhon, Mr. Kishan Singh, Mr. Najam Hussain Syed, Mr. Ravinder Ravi, Dr. Harbhajan Singh Bhatia. Dr. Ramandeep Kaur said that a good work of criticism paves a way for the portrayal of literary works. All the students jotted down the crucial points and thoroughly enjoyed the seminar. At the end of the seminar, Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur along with the faculty of Punjabi Department presented him the souvenir.
