The distinguished speaker was Dr. Avon Singh Vaid, Principal , Amritsar Law College, Amritsar. Dr. Sarla Nirankari welcomed the Resource person with a bouquet and emphasised that we should be aware of our legal rights regarding our intellectual property. Dr. Avon beautifully explained the difference between patents, copyrights, trademarks, symbols etc. Sir elaborated in very simple language different aspects related to law of contract Act, Indian Majority Act and Sale of Goods Act quoting examples from real life situations. Students were also told about Consumer Protection Act so that the can become well awared consumers. Dr. Neenu Sharma, head of PG department of Commerce extended vote of thanks to the distinguished speaker. The senior staff members and faculty of Commerce were present during the seminar.
