12 Dec 2023 ↑ PG Departments of Punjabi, English and Hindi celebrated 75th Bhartia Bhasha Utsav with great vigour by organising Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competitions on 12th December, 2023. Under the able patronage of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta, the day was observed to commemorate Janam Jayanti of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati. Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Head, Department of Punjabi spoke about the life and remarkable works of Mr. Bharati.

 She emphasised his contribution in uplifting the conditions of women in the society. Dr. Deepak Jyoti, Head, Department of Computer Science and IT and Ms. Randeep Dhoot, Head, Department of Political Science judged the competitions. 

In Poster Making Competition:

1st Position- Urvi Thakur, +1 Commerce 

2nd Position- Komal Salaria, +1 Commerce

3rd Position- Amreet Kaur, +1 Arts

In Slogan Writing Competition:

1st Position- Jahanvi, +2 Arts

2nd Position- Sanjana, +1 Medical 

3rd Position- Sneha Thakur, +1 Commerce

The students sang songs in different languages and even played slang word game with teachers. At the end of the event, Ms. Sunita Verma, Vice Principal Mam, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Dr. Neenu Sharma, Dr. Sonam Gupta, Ms. Dilpreet Kaur, Ms. Rama Kapoor, Ms. Kulwinder Kaur along with the judges gave certificates and medals to the winners.
