In this series of programs, feature films like Godan, Rajnigandha, Padmavat, and Page 3, based on Hindi literature, were shown from 12th to 13th September. On 13th September, an extension lecture was organised on the topic 'Hindi Literature and Nation Building'. In which Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Kumar (Head, Hindi, Urdu, and Foreign Languages, Dean Faculty of Languages, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar) participated as the resource speaker. The program started with the lighting of the lamp. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta welcomed the guest with a bouquet ceremony. While formally welcoming the guest, she said that today the position of Hindi is strong. Hindi literature has played a special role in nation-building. Prof. Sunil Kumar said in his speech that on the basis of literature, we can know about the culture of any country or society. The foundation of the development of any nation is its rich literature, on which the building of society is built. Apart from this, he shed light on the employment opportunities in Hindi. Dr. Poonam Mahajan said in her speech that Hindi reflects the cultural unity of the country; Hindi Day is not only a symbol of the prestige of Hindi language but also a symbol of cultural heritage. Dr. Dimple Sharma performed the responsibility of conducting the stage very well. Kumari Sakshi impressed everyone with her poem. At the end, Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta presented a memento and expressed gratitude to the source speaker, Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Kumar, and said that the students of this institution have not only benefitted from his speech, but our knowledge has also increased.
