14 Feb 2024 ↑ PG Department of English celebrated "International Book Giving Day" under the able patronage of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, Secretary, Managing Committee and under the headship of Ms. Dilpreet Kaur, Department of English on 14th February, 2024. This day is celebrated every year on February 14. This is a day to do exactly what the day says i.e. Give Books. This special day is celebrated by Book lovers all over the world.

 This day is dedicated to spreading the love of books and handwritten notes across the globe. It serves as a reminder to share the joy of reading and to make books accessible to those who may not have as many opportunities to enjoy them. The faculty and students of English Department celebrated this day by donating books to the library with full zeal and enthusiasm. Teachers of various departments also donated books. 

Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta appreciated the efforts of English department in encouraging students to donate books on this day which will provide a wealth of knowledge and ideas that will enrich their lives and inspire them to learn more about the world around them. She also told the students the importance of books and advised them to develop the habit of reading. Mrs. Namita Bhalla, librarian also thanked English department for providing books for needy students. The department aspires to hold such drives in the future.
