21 Sep 2024 ↑ PG Department of Economics celebrated “World Peace day” on 21st September 2024, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and supervision of Head of department, Mrs. Shelika Aggarwal. This year World Peace Day 2024 Theme “Cultivating a Culture of Peace” draws inspiration from UNESCO's foundational belief that “wars begin in the minds of men, so it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed. ”

Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta told the students that on 21st September 1981, General Assembly declared this as a day devoted to “commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.”. She told that Without peace, it will not be possible to achieve the levels of trust, cooperation and inclusiveness needed for societies to be resilient to shocks, manage disputes and adapt to changes in their environments.  
On this day, the students of Economics department spread the message of world peace by making posters. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta congratulated the  Economics department on successful organization of this day celebration.
Prof. Ekta Bhalla, Prof. Rajwinder Kaur, Prof. Rajni Saini, Prof. Komal Sharma enhanced the grace of the occasion.
