08 Feb 2024 ↑ PG Department of Computer Science and IT celebrated Internet Safer Day on 8th February, 2024 under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta and Dr. Deepak Jyoti, Head, Department of Computer Science and IT. The department organised lectures on the said topic. While addressing the students, Madam Kirti said that the day is cerebrated to promote a safer Internet for all users, mainly children, and young people.

 She added that the day is observed to raise awareness about the dire need to stay safe online.  Madam Bhanu Priya spoke on this year’s theme of Internet Safer Day which was "Together for a better Internet". According to the viewpoint of Ms. Shallu Sharma, it is significant to encourage parents to have open regular conversations with their children about the Internet and its uses. Ms. Radhika added that starting as an initiative of the EU SafeBorders project in 2004 and taken up by the Insafe network as one of its earliest actions in 2005, Safer Internet Day has grown beyond its traditional geographic zone and is now celebrated in more than 180 countries and territories worldwide. Concluding the event, Madam Anima gave the students some tips to remember while using internet and while sharing information online. The students jotted down the main points. The event was successful. Madam Principal appreciated the efforts of the department of Computer Science and IT.
