12 Jan 2023 ↑ On the eve of *‘’National Youth Day*’’, a seminar on ‘’*legal Awareness*’’ was organised by Youth Welfare Department and NSS Department of college with the support of *legal Services Society*, Gurdaspur, under the patronage of principal, Dr. Reena Talwar, and under the guidance of Dr. Kulwinder Kaur Chheena at Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar. Ms. Navdeep Kaur Gill, Civil Judge (Sr.Division) (CJM), Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Gurdaspur was the Chief Guest while Mr. Parminder Singh Saini, Nodal Officer, District Gurdaspur and Guiding Counsellor, Gurdaspur was the Guest of Honour. The guests were given a floral welcome by all staff members of the college.

 In her address, Principal Mam stated that Swami Vivekananda is the true role model for youth who has preached Indian tradition and culture worldwide. She added that he was the advocator of women rights. Providing a profound wisdom on the legal awareness, Ms. Navdeep Kaur said that in the face of adversary, one must be strong-willed and legally sensible. She emphasised on the need of having legal awareness especially in girls. Mr. Parminder insisted that girls must be bold and not feeble. Dr. Kulwinder Kaur said that every girl must pattern themselves after Swami Vivekananda and should have knowledge of legal things. At this juncture, the NSS coordinators Ms. Sangeeta Malhotra, Dr. Sushma Gupta Ms. Sunita Verma; the coordinator, Youth Welfare, Dr. Deepak Jyoti; Ms. Parveen Saini, Ms. Jyoti Saini, Dr. Neenu Sharma, Dr. Sonam Gupta, Ms. Rama Kapoor, Ms. Neha Saini, Ms. Taljinder kaur, Ms. Minal Gupta and the students were present.
