Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar(Punjab)

01 May 2025 ↑ On the auspicious occasion of Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony held on 1st May 2025, the college community had the privilege of hosting the esteemed dignitaries, faculty members and students on this day. The event was successfully organized under the patronage of Secretary of Managing Committee, Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta and Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari. In this event Padma Shri Dr. Harmohinder Singh Bedi, (Chancellor, Central University, Dharamshala, Himachal) was the chief guest and Dr. Gurnam Kaur was the guest of honour.

The event was organized under the able guidance of Managing Committee and Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari. Respected Managing Committee members Mr. Anil Gupta, Mr. Inder Gupta, Mrs. Neelam Gupta and Mrs. Namita Gupta played a vital role in organizing the event smoothly. The eminent guests of the event were Mr. Ishwar Bhalla, Kunwar Ravinder Vicky, Mr. Vijay Kansra, Mr. Vinod Sharma, Mr. Jatinder Mahajan, Mr. Ashwani Mahajan and Principal Rama Sharma. The event commenced with the lighting of the holy lamp and recitation of the Veda Mantras, symbolizing the enlightenment and auspiciousness of the occasion. After this peaceful ritual, the esteemed Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari presented the Annual Report, detailing the remarkable achievements of the prestigious institution in the past year. Addressing the students, Dr. Harmohinder Singh Bedi said that the Indian knowledge tradition has been linked with the National Education Policy after 150 years, it is a matter of joy that the institutions of Hindi have been the basis of the Indian knowledge tradition. Vedas, Puranas, Ramayana, Bhagwat Geeta etc. are living units, there is no myth in these and it is a heritage of the world. Also, while shedding light on Guru Granth Sahib, he said that Guru Granth Sahib is the first knowledge source of the medieval period and is a living example of the Indian knowledge tradition. He inspired the students to always remain connected to their civilization and culture, and along with this he said that in the same way they should continue to bring glory to themselves and the college by winning awards in the future, along with this he said that Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College is emerging as a mini university, which is a matter of pride. Awards were given to students in various categories including academic excellence (Merit, Distinction, First, Second in University and First in College) and extra-curricular achievements (Participants of Yuva-Utsav), College Class Representatives and NCC Cadets. In recognition of exceptional talent and dedication, special awards were given:

The stage was well managed by Dr. Neenu Sharma and Dr. Pooja. At the end of the program, the Principal honoured the guests by giving them mementoes. The program concluded with the National Anthem. During this time the entire staff of the college was present.
