16 Oct 2024 ↑ On 16th October 2024, the PG Department of English and the Eco Club of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College organized a tree plantation drive to commemorate World Students' Day. This global celebration acknowledges the significance of students' contributions to society and encourages them to become active participants in shaping their future. Under the guidance of Dr. Sarla Nirankari and managing committee, the event aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to take action towards a greener future.

 The drive was a resounding success, with the plantation of numerous trees and saplings in the college premises. Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari delivered a speech, emphasizing the importance of protecting our planet and promoting sustainability. She also stressed the significance of studies, urging students to focus on their academic pursuits and strive for excellence. "Education is the key to unlocking your potential and making a positive impact in the world," she said. Harshita, a BCom 3rd semester student, recited a poem on the theme of an "Ideal Student", inspiring her fellow students to embrace their potential and become responsible citizens. The event instilled a sense of responsibility among students towards their planet, and the institution aims to continue such initiatives and foster a culture of eco-friendly practices.
