NSS Department of Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar organized ‘’National Girl Child Day’’ through online medium under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar.On this occasion, poster making and slogan writing competitions were organized in which students participated enthusiastically. Describing the purpose of celebrating this day, Dr. Talwar said that we have to make girls aware of their rights, protection and equality so that they can face all the challenges and difficulties in the future and create awareness in the society so that discrimination between boys and girls can be ended.National Girl Child Day is celebrated every year by the college and all the girl students studying here are awarded with the respect of daughters.

All the girl students are supported financially, mentally and emotionally so that they can stand on their feet by reading and writing and can bring glory to their parents and the college. It is worth noting that the students without father has to pay only 50% of the fees  and the meritorious girl students are also given scholarships. 

In this way, every day of the college is celebrated like Girl Child Day and utmost priority is given to them.
