04 Oct 2024 ↑ NSS department and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Club celebrating " Daan Utsav week-2024 (2nd October to 8th October) under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari and Management Secretary Sh. Dharam Indu Gupta. Principal madam, PRO Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, NSS Volunteers and NSS Programme officers Dr. Sushma Gupta (Vice Principal), Prof. Sunita Verma (EBSB coordinator), Prof. Sangeeta Malhotra (NSS coordinator), Dr. Deepak Jyoti (HOD, C.Sc. dept.) Prof. Jyoti Saini (HOD, F.D. dept.) and Mrs. Hardeep (Librarian) visited "Sarbat Da Bhala" Welfare Society Dinanagar on 4th October 2024.

 Mukh sewadar - Bachiter Singh and Sewadar - Vivek Saini from welfare society, told that 43 persons have been sent to their homes after their recovery from illness and now 50 persons are residing in welfare society. Principal madam told that Daan Utsav is an initiative taken by volunteers from different walks of life. It is a 100% volunteer driven weeklong festival which encourages people to do the act of giving of their choice. This festival has been celebrated every year since 2009, across the country. She said that, It is not an initiative of any particular organization but a celebration to encourage the spirit of donation. She said that there is no restriction of any kind on what to donate, how to donate, where to donate etc., NSS Volunteers donated money, clothes, eatables and Ration etc., and participated in Daan Utsav very enthusiastically.
