01 Oct 2024 ↑ NSS department and Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Club observed “National Voluntary Blood Donation Day” on 1st October 2024, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari and patronage of management secretary Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta Ji. Principal madam told that this day is celebrated every year on 1st October and the event serves to raise awareness about the importance of blood and the need for voluntary blood donation.

 She told that the day was first observed in 1975 by the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology.During this day,  various events organised were poster making competition and pledge taking ceremony in which the NSS Volunteers, NSS Program officers: Prof. Sangeeta Malhotra (NSS Coordinator),  Dr. Sushma Gupta, Prof. Sunita Verma (EBSB Coordinator), Dr. Deepak Jyoti, Prof. Jyoti Saini, Prof. Arjun Kumar and all staff members participated very enthusiastically. The pledge confirmed that whenever someone is in need of blood, we shall donate blood at our own expenses without any greed.
