Principal Dr. Reena Talwar told that, the main aim to observe this day is to create awareness among students, about the ill effects of tobacco, the diseases it can cause and the preventable measures. She told that, tobacco impacts both the health of countless people across the planet as well as the environment at large, tobacco smoke contributes to higher air pollution level and contains greenhouse gases which are very harmful for the environment.Mrs Sunita Verma told that the highly addictive substance nicotine present in tobacco causes cancer, diseases of heart ,lungs and liver. She told that tobacco destroys our environment further harming human health through the cultivation, production , distribution , consumption and post consumer waste.Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, all staff members, and students took pledge to spread message of ill effects of tobacco and not to use the tobacco.During this event Vice Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mrs. Sunita Verma, Mrs. Neenu Sharma were also present.
