20 Aug 2024 ↑ NCC Department organized a protest rally under the leadership of Dr. Sushma Gupta and guidance of Dr. Anjana Malhotra, condemning the brutal murder of a trainee doctor after a gang rape in a hospital in Kolkata on August 20, 2024.

 The students marched from the college premises to the streets, expressing their outrage. The feeling of insecurity among girls was shattered when they took up swords against the rapists. The students regretted the present condition of women where once there was a Mahabharata against the insult of women, but now the existence is being questioned. A street play was also organized on this occasion, with slogans like 'Arise Durga, take up arms, Govind will not come now' filling the air. The students lit candles in the college premises to protest. Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta said that such heinous crimes shame humanity, and now it's time to have provisions for punishment that make the perpetrators' souls tremble. Prof. Sunita Verma, Prof. Sangeeta Malhotra, Prof. Randeep Dhoot, Dr. Neenu Sharma, Dr. Parveen Saini, Dr. Poonam Mahajan, Prof. Taljinder Kaur, Mr. Robin Sharma, Mr. Sudhir Kumar, and Mr. Rakesh Joshi made significant contributions to the program. Finally, Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta specially thanked the police department for their cooperation.
