She said that the day promotes equal opportunities in education, healthcare, and nutrition while raising awareness regarding the injustices that girls face. She informed the students about the first NGCD which was celebrated in 2008 with the theme “Saving our Girls: Educating our Girls”. Dr. Poonam Mahajan, Head, Department of Hindi gave her views on the valuable schemes run by the Government of India namely; Udaan Sukanya and Samridhi Yojna. She intensified that the lack of knowledge of the benefits of females rights and schemes hinders the full utilisation of the schemes. Madam Principal showered her blessings on the students of the entire college and concluded by saying that empowering girls is not just a goal, it's a message for a better and more equal world. She appreciated the efforts of Madam Sangeeta Malhotra and NSS department for the success of the event. Ms. Sunita Verma, Dr. Deepak Jyoti and Ms. Jyoti Saini were also present to mark the eminence of the day.
