Mathematics Department of Shanti Devi Arya mahila College Dinanagar, celebrated "National Mathematics day " sponsored by Punjab State Council for Science and Technology on dated 25th February 2022, under the the able guidance of esteemed Principal Dr. Reena Talwar.

 The theme of National Mathematics Day 2022 is "Popularize Mathematics among students"

 Dr Reena Talwar said that, We can use Mathematics in our daily life. Mam also addressed students about life of Srinivasa Ramanujan so that students can be inspired and take interest in Mathematics.

On this day, students participated in Poster Making, Mathematical Rangoli, Mathematical models, Quiz Competition and Guest lecture is delivered by Prof. S.K Srivastava, Head of Mathematics Department, Sardar Beant State University, Gurdaspur on the topic" Role of Mathematics in Sustainable Development". Prof. S.K Srivastava addressed students  What is the role of Mathematics in development of society and How Mathematics can be used for real life problem solutions.

Finally awards were given to winners of Quiz Competition, Poster making, Mathematical Rangoli and Mathematical Models.
