05 Jun 2024 ↑ It is a matter of great honour that Prof. Sunita Verma, Head, Department of Zoology was invited as a Resource Person in an exemplary event at Keshopur Chhamb Community Reserve, Distt. Gurdaspur organised by Department of Forests & Wildlife Preservation, Wildlife Wing (Pathankot) in collaboration with Institute of Ecology & Environment to commemorate World Environment Day on June 5, 2024.

She delivered her speech on the topic: Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience. She put forward many dichotomies and ideologies in the context of her subject. Her immaculate presentation capitulated the minds of beholders. At the end of the event, she was honoured with memento by Dr. Paramjit Singh, District Forest Officer, Pathankot, Mr. Sudhir Mahotra, IEE, Chairperson, Pathankot and Ms. Gitanjali Kanwar, Senior Coordinator, WWF. Madam principal Dr. Sushma Gupta congratulated and appreciated the efforts and dedication of Prof. Sunita Verma.
