The programme was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Sarla Nirankari, Principal of the college. The event was successfully conducted with the support of Dr. Pooja, Head of the Department of English, along with the dedicated faculty members of the English Department: Kusum Mahajan, Divya Gupta, Miss Riya, Miss Manu Samyal, Miss Poonam,Miss Simerjeet, and Miss Avlokita.The main objective of celebrating this day was to promote the habit of reading and to spread awareness about the importance of books and libraries in shaping knowledge and character. On this occasion, students generously donated books to the college library to support fellow learners and encourage a culture of sharing and learning.A poster-making activity was also organized on the theme of Book Donation and Love for Reading. Students creatively expressed their ideas through colourful and meaningful posters highlighting the value of books in our lives. The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation and showcased the artistic talent and thoughtful perspectives of the students.The celebration successfully conveyed the message that books are our best friends and libraries are temples of knowledge. The programme concluded with words of appreciation for all participants and organizers who made the event meaningful and inspiring.
