06 Jun 2024 ↑ In collaboration with the Department of Forests & Wildlife Preservation, Wildlife Wing (Pathankot) & Institute of Ecology & Environment, College organised an event commemorating World Environment Day on June 5, 2024, at Keshopur Chhamb Community Reserve. Many students of our esteemed college participated with great enthusiasm in events: poster making and declamation contests. The exceptional performance of students rewarded them with prizes.

In Declamation Contest:

•Simran: 1st Prize

•Muskaan deep Kaur: 2nd  Prize  

•Simranjit: 3rd Prize

In Poster Making Competition: 

•Deeksha: 1st Prize

•Shayna: 2nd Prize

•Samarpita: 3rd Prize

All the participants got certificates from Dr. Paramjit Singh, DFO, Pathankot and Dr. Sudhir Mahotra, Chairperson,  IEE, Pathankot, Ms. Gitanjali Kanwar, Senior Coordinator, WFF. Prof. Sunita Verma, Head, Department of Zoology was the Resource Person in the seminar organised on this day. Madam Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta, taking into consideration the relevance of the day said that the day acted as a platform to bring issues to light about the ecological issues faced by our planet. She even talked about the objective of the day which was to educate the public about pressing environmental issues and the importance of sustainable practices. Dignitaries from the forest department expressed their gratitude to Madam Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta for the collaboration and for eminent presence. They honoured her with an Award of honour. They honoured the resource person of the day Prof. Sunita Verma with the certificate and memento. At the end of the event, all the students, dignitaries and teachers took the Life Pledge for protection of environment and conservation of biodiversity.
