16 Feb 2023 ↑ Department of Sanskrit* celebrated the 200th birth anniversary of *’Swami Dayanand Saraswati’* on 16 February, 2023 under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar. The event started with chanting of holy mantras. A tribute was given to Swami ji for his contribution to the society in multitudes of sectors like Education, Social Reform, Independence Struggle and especially Women Empowerment. Various competitions like recitation of hymns and speech competition were conducted and the students took active participation with great enthusiasm. While addressing students, Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar said that the whole life of Swamiji was dedicated in being a social reformer and a propagator of Vedas.

 She added that in pursuit of knowledge, he left home and under the valuable guidance of his *Guru Virjanand* he became the *Founder Acharya of Arya Samaj*. Today all the women development that is taking place is due to the efforts of Swami ji. The stage was anchored by Dr. Dinesh, Department of Sanskrit. Mr. Hitesh, Dr. Sushma Gupta, Dr. Anjana Malhotra, Mrs. Sangeeta Malhotra, Mrs. Pooja , Ms. Shelika Aggarwal contributed to this program.
