04 Sep 2023 ↑ Department of Sanskrit celebrated Sanskrit Day, an auspicious ceremony, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar. This day is an annual event focused around the ancient Indian language Sanskrit that incorporates lectures about the language and is aimed to promote its revival and maintenance.

 Under this banner, Speech Competition was organised. The programme commenced with the recitation of Ved Mantras. Mr. Hitesh, Head, Department of Sanskrit along with Dr. Sushma Gupta, Dr. Anjana Malhotra and Mr. Hitesh (Music Department) welcomed Madam Principal by gifting her a potted plant. She in her address discussed the scientific relevance of Sanskrit Language. She laid bare the facts of Sanskrit Language to be a perfect language for computer AI as propagated by Rick Briggs, Scientist at Nasa in his paper ‘*Knowledge Representation in Sanskrit and Artificial Intelligence’*.The stage was conducted by Mr. Hitesh, Department of Music. Principal madam appreciated the efforts of Mr. Hitesh and organising committee of Department of Sanskrit.
