20 Dec 2024 ↑ December 20, 2024, marked an enlightening event at PT. Mohan Lal S.D. College for women, Gurdaspur, as Dr. Parveen Saini, Head of Chemistry Department delivered a lcture on the topic Green Chemistry. During the discourse, Dr. Parveen Saini discussed various aspects of Green Chemistry with suitable examples. She explained that, Green Chemistry is the design of chemical processes, products and technologies that reduces or eliminates the use and generation of hazardous substances. Green Chemistry is about reducing waste, hazards, cost, time, energy, risk etc. She focussed on all the twelve principles on which green chemistry works and told that this approach works on pollution prevention on molecular scale. The lecture ended with satisfactory answers to students queries. The event was a huge success with the full participation of students.
