11 Dec 2024 ↑ December 11, 2024, marked an enlightening event at Govt Sen Sec School, Paniar, as Ekta Bhalla, Assistant Professor in Economics delivered an extension lecture on the topic "Nationalisation of Indian Banks: Achievements and Failures." During the lecture, Ekta Bhalla discussed the achievements of nationalisation, including the expansion of banking services to rural areas, increased access to credit for priority sectors, and the promotion of financial inclusion. She also examined the failures of nationalisation, such as the inefficiencies in bank operations, the lack of competition, and the accumulation of non-performing assets.
