23 Nov 2024 ↑ College hosted a spectacular cultural program, LOK UTSAV 2024, on November 23, 2024. The event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Punjab, Folk Art Centre, Gurdaspur, North Zone Culture Patiala and Youth Welfare and Cultural Department of Government of Gujarat. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and chanting of mantras, setting the tone for a culturally enriching experience. Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari and Secretary Dharam Indu Gupta warmly welcomed the chief guest, SDM Dinanagar Mr. Jaspinder Singh Bhullar, an IAS officer, and the eminent guest, Mr. PS Randhawa, General Manager, Chaddha Sugar Mill, Kidhi Afghana. Principal, Dr. Sarla Nirankari in her welcome speech emphasised on the value of cultural & folk art. She motivated the students to participate in cultural activities.

 The event showcased a diverse range of performances from nine different states, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of India. Mr. Harman Jeet Singh from Punjab Lok Art Centre, Gurdaspur, played a pivotal role in organizing the program.

Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Dean of the Youth Welfare Department and Dr. Deepak Jyoti, Coordinator, youth welfare Department emphasised on the importance of folk art and folk dances in preserving India's cultural identity. The chief guest, Mr. Jaspinder Singh Bhullar, motivated students to pursue education and participate in cultural activities to achieve their goals. Managing Committee of the College and Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari honoured all the worthy guests.The success of LOK UTSAV 2024 was a testament to the collective efforts of the college management, faculty members, and students. Secretary Dharam Indu Gupta, Mrs. Namita Gupta, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Dr. Deepak Jyoti and other dignitaries made a huge contribution in organizing the event. Punjab Folk Art Centre, Gurdaspur honoured Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, secretary of college, Mrs. Namita Gupta, Principal Dr. Sarla Nirankari, former Principal Mrs. Nirmal Pandhi, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur Chheena and Ekta Kohli for their contribution to make the event Successful. LOK UTSAV 2024 was a resounding success, celebrating the vibrant cultural diversity of India and promoting the importance of preserving our cultural heritage.
