27 Aug 2022 ↑ 'College Fresher Party is a beginning of a New Era.'To welcome new entrants and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence, Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar organised a 'Freshers' Party' for the students of UG sem-1 and +1 under the able guidance of Principal Dr.Reena Talwar on 27th August, 2022. The function began with the floral welcome of Principal Dr. Reena Talwar, Vice Principal Dr.Sushma Gupta and all other respected staff members following the sacred tradition of lamp lighting. Principal madam addressed the aspirants emphasising on the need of incorporating moral values into education so that, upon graduation, students not only have the knowledge and skills needed to work and succeed, but also the compassion and emotional wherewithal to be a part of a peaceful and cooperative society.

On this occasion, the freshers showcased their varied talents in  events like Group Folk Singing, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Group Singing in Qawwali with confidence. Bhangra (Solo and Group) enthralled the audience and filled up energy in the air.A modelling contest and ramp walk were the 'biggest attraction' of the day which was judged by Mrs. Sangeeta Malhotra and Mrs Jyoti Saini( for UG) and Dr. Sushma Gupta and Mrs. Randeep Dhoot( for Xl).In UG, the tag of ‘Ms. Well-Dressed’ was won by Ms. Shilpa of B.Com. The tag of ‘Ms. Charming’ was won by Muskan of BA, the tag of ‘Second Runner-Up’ was won by Tamanna (Cosmetology) and the tag of ‘First Runner-Up’ was won by Simran of BBA. Finally, Ms.Pooja of B.Sc was crowned with the title of 'Miss Fresher’.In Xl Class, the tag of ‘Ms. Well-Dressed’ was won by Harshdeep(Med), the  tag of ‘Ms. Charming’ was won by Ms.Khushi(Non Med), the tag of ‘Second Runner-Up’ won by Munita (Med), ‘First Runner-Up’ tag won by Ms. Rishita(Non Med) and finally, Ms.Diviya of (Comm) was crowned with the title of 'Miss Fresher'. Principal madam appreciated the tireless efforts of the Co-ordinators Mrs. Ekta, Mrs. Swati, Ms. Dilpreet and Dr. Shailly. The students had a wonderful time full of music, fun, dancing on the beats of music and creating memories.
