Cadets learned to prepare dishes like cheela, uttapam, laddu, idli, pakoda etc. using millets. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta said that millets are not only rich in nutrients but they are also climate resilient crops and have amazing nutritional properties. These grains can be grown even in less water and barren land and in adverse weather. Lieutenant Dr. Anjana Malhotra said that Millets provide nutritional security and acts as a shield against nutritional deficiency, especially among children and women. The high iron content present in it is capable of preventing the high prevalence of anemia in women during the reproductive period and in infants in India.
