They were felicitated by Principal Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta and Mr. Anil Gupta. The program started with lighting of the lamp followed by recitation of Ved mantras. The program was organized under the chairmanship of Mr. Ravi Dara, Assistant Director, Youth Services Gurdaspur. Special contribution was made by Mr. Vishal Kumar, Accountant, Youth Services Gurdaspur. Public Relations Officer Mr. Inderjit Singh Bajwa, while addressing the participants, said that along with education, practical knowledge is also important. Mr. Ravi Dara, Assistant Director, Youth Service Gurdaspur said that no society gets the status of a civilized society unless the women of that society are empowered. Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, the overall incharge of the event, while stating the impact of heritage of Punjabi culture talked about the significance of Punjabi Folk Songs. On the first day, Vaar, Kavishri, Mono Acting, Speech, Phulkari, Nala Weaving, Peerhi Weaving, Shikku Weaving, Pankhi Weaving, Utilization of Waste Materials, and Rangoli Competitions were organised. On the second day, Folk Song, Puratan Pehrava, Giddha and Bhangra competitions were organised. War singing by Mr. Gurnam Singh and Mr. Balveer Singh and Mr. Davinder Dyalpuriya’s singing were the center of attraction.
Sardar Gurnam Singh, Kalanaur and Sardar Balveer Singh judged the Vaar and Kavishri competitions; Mr. Saurav and Mr. Kamal Sarangal, the Theatre Artists judged the Mono Acting competition; Mrs. Priyanka Malhotra, P.R.T. Fine Arts, D.A.V School, Amritsar, Sardar Gurmeet Singh Bajwa, Lecturer, Government Senior Secondary School, Kalanaur and Shri Kamal Kumar, Fine Arts Lecturer, Shivalik Education of Mustabad judged the Speech and traditional Folk Art competitions; Mr. Davinder Dyalpuria and Harpreet Harry, Music Director judged the Folk Singing Competition; Ms. Gurmeet Kaur Mahal, Ms. Jaspreet Kaur and Mr. Mohan Lal judged the Puratan Pehrava competition; Mr. Tarunpal Singh, Mr. Honey Jhakhu and Mr. Manjinder Singh judged both the Giddha and Bhangra competitions. The stage was conducted by Dr. Neenu Sharma, Head, Department of Commerce and Ms. Dilpreet, Head, English Department. At the end of second day, all the winners were awarded by the guests. The chief guests, judges, the College Management and college staff were appreciated with the special honour. The college staff and students along with Dr. Sushma Gupta, Mr. Dharam Indu Gupta, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur, Dr. Deepak Jyoti, Ms. Randeep Dhoot, Ms. Sunita Verma, Ms. Sangeeta Malhotra, Dr. Neenu Sharma received the Champion Trophy by bagging
