11 Nov 2024 ↑ PG Department of Fashion Designing organized a Tie & Dye Workshop on 11th November 2024 under the able guidance of Dr. Sarla Nirankari and Mrs. Jyoti Saini, Head of Fashion Designing Department. The event aimed to promote traditional crafts and provide students with hands-on experience in textile design. The students tried this art on Sarees, Dupattas, Dresses, Cushion Covers, Scarves, Pouches, etc. Mrs. Jyoti Saini along with her department teachers Ms. Meenu Gupta, Ms. Vandhana, Ms. Rajwant, Ms. Prachi, Ms. Ruchika, Ms. Mandeep and Ms. Pallvi taught different skills and methods of this art. Dr. Kulwinder Kaur Chheena, Dr. Sushma Gupta,Dr. Deepak Jyoti and Mrs. Randeep Dhoot graced the event with their presence.

Students learned various tie & dye techniques, including folding, twisting, and bindings. Participants created unique designs on fabrics, exploring colors and patterns. Expert faculty guided students in mastering the art of tie & dye to provide hands-on experience in tie & dye techniques. The Tie & Dye Workshop at Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College was a resounding success, providing students with valuable skills and creative expression.
