In this workshop students learnt Tie and Dye: History, techniques, and cultural significance, demonstration of folding, binding, and dyeing techniques. Hands on session: Students created their own Tie and Dye designs on fabric. They were also introduced to Batik, its history, techniques, and cultural significance, demonstrations of wax-resist method and dyeing techniques.
In this workshop students gained understanding of traditional textile art forms and their cultural context and developed their skills in Tie and Dye and Batik techniques. In this workshop students also learned the techniques of block printing,screen printing and stencil printing also. They Experimented with innovative designs and applications, created unique, handmade textile samples. Principal Dr Sushma Gupta appreciated the great efforts of head of department, Professor Jyoti Saini, Professor Meenu Gupta, Professor Vandana, Professor, Rajwant Kaur, Professor Ruchika, Professor Prachi, Professor Mandeep, and Professor Pallavi to make this event successful. The event was really remarkable.
