12 Oct 2022 ↑ ‘*Karva Chauth Special Entertaining event at Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College*’.Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College ,Dinanagar celebrated the exuberance of Karva Chauth under the leadership of Principal, Dr. Reena Talwar. On this Occasion, a number of events were organised and were covered *live* by Raavi Voice news channel. The crew members, Prince Anand, Rajinder Saini, Pawan Verma had brilliant interactions with the faculty members and the students. An exhibition was organised by the Department of Fashion Designing under the headship of Ms. Jyoti Saini. In this event, the students exhibited their artistic talents in presenting thals, plates, glasses, garvi, handmade jewelry- earrings, Necklaces, Bangles etc. This exhibition was mentored by Ms. Vandana. The faculty Ms. Meenu, Ms. Romya, Ms. Lalita, Ms. Rajwant, Ms. Aditi and Ms. Komal bestowed their ingenious efforts to showcase the ability of the students. The Cosmetology Department organised Mehndi stalls.

 The highlights of the show were the wonderful performances presented by the students. Many students of this institution performed punjabi bolian, punjabi other folk songs, poetry and giddha. In an interaction with the reporter, Dr. Reena Talwar expressed that the festivals are the reflection of a culture and added that she is glad to see the artistic and creative skills of students. She emphasised the ongoing program *Earn while you learn* which makes every student financially independent. The occasion was marked by the presence of other staff members and the students. Principal Madam congratulated the successful exhibition of both FD and Cosmetology departments and appreciated the efforts of Ms. Dilpreet Kaur, head, Department of English, the overall incharge of the event, Ms. Gurpriya, Ms. Ekta and Ms. Kirti.
